Wonder why? Portsmouth cancel? Boy, I hate that, I was looking forward to shooting on the new field and it's always special having Biggdowgg and Oz there...rooting us on

Re: Ironton JV At Portsmouth?
I believe it may be due to not having a quarterback besides our varsity starter.......at this position, 1 is ineligible, and two quit.......this really BITES! We had to cancel our Freshman football schedule last year and it looks as though the JV schedule may be down the tubes also.....can anyone confirm this? How can some of these kids get any better when they don't get to play very much for two years if this is the case.......this will have an effect sooner than later in coming years on the program.......and some wonder why we are down to thirty some players..........

Re: Ironton JV At Portsmouth?
I called the schoiol this morning, and they said there was a game, she even told me who against, what time, and it was at home.
I had heard the rumor last wek we was going to have to cancell the rest of JV schedule,,gues I should rely on rumors from here out
.
it treally does suck, for the kids that wentnthrough two a days, and busted there a
A Nin pratcice to get cheated out of their games.

Re: Ironton JV At Portsmouth?
If Portsmouth only has 1 QB then playing a JV game is a better place to get some people some game time than if your starter gets hurt in a varsity game.
I have seen JV games where players who had never taken a snap took their first snap during after a JV QB got hurt. It is a shame that the other position players do not get the playing time in games while putting in practice time. Hopefully the get to play some games this year.

What about the freshmen team? Portsmouth isn't even on Ironton's 9th grade schedule. That's odd, isn't it?
