Don't overlook Waverly this year. Waverly has a good freshmen coming up to play (pitcher/Great Hitter). Plus they have the majority of their returning starters.
Re: SOC2 2010 Predictions and thoughts
Waverly will indeed be good. Excellent freshmen coming in and as well as several returning from last year. Look for Brooke Hoskins to return which will elevate the level of the entire team. They'll be in the thick of it.

NW can hit! Ed only lost his 2nd baseman and his rf. 3 of the incoming freshman can hit as good if not better than what he lost. NW will battle for #1 along with west and valley. Minford has the top incoming freshman, pitcher. She'll be one to watch.

I dont know i think NW has alot of Senior Talent this year including their starting catcher. Rachel Lute..she's a beast at the plate. It's also hard to advance the runners against her she has a rocket launcher for an arm.

I Think ND's freshman pitcher has an argument to claim that top freshman pitcher spot IMO. MD

how about listing who each teams ace will be --it all starts in the circle. ND will have 2 capable arms , both with quite a bit of travel ball experience Shupert and Pauley. MD

Pauley is a good pitcher, but she is also behind Welch, and Griffith. IMO
BTW, Pauley will be soc 1.

Lexey kegley will be #1 for west with several great back-ups in Alex Phipps,
Abby Welch, and Tara Journey.

Re: SOC2 2010 Predictions and thoughts
I think the Soc 2 is up for grabs this year. The Burg doesn't have any strong pitching like in the past with Chaffin,Floyd, and Baker. Knapp throws decent but nothing great. They have a couple of big bats. And there are only a few girls who even played travel ball last season on the team. Valley has Dillow as their number 1 and she can bring the heat but other than her they are about the same as everyone else. West has Kegley some days she can bring it others after a few innings it's over. But they have Welch as a back up. Northwest has medicore pitching and a few big bats their 3rd baseman is pretty good. So I think everyone is pretty much in the same league with each other. Othan than Dillow who can bring it and has a killer change up. We'll see I guess. Can't wait for the season to begin..
