Guys - My point on the kicking game is that Alex has a kicker that they can rely on if they want to go for a field goal. It may very well come down to this.
Game is going to be a war, no doubt, and I will probably come over to Albany to catch this one with LEROY.

No we have missed one & had one blocked but we 2 for 2 on two point conversions on the year so I don't think alex has a superior point after game than us GO BUCKS !

Not sure to make of this game yet ... Ive seen em both play, and I must say I really think Alex can hang with the Buckeyes this year ... Nelsonville-York doesn't really 'blow out' its quality opponents, they just methodically drive the ball down field and eat the clock like its a quarter-pounder with cheese. Alexander got the 'big game' butterflies out of its system Friday when they turned the ball over 5 times, Friday they are at home and know now (after the Athens game) what its gonna be like to be playing in a big time game.
If they can take care of the football, execute the pass and make first downs consistently for all 4 quarters, they have a chance I think. But don't let it be close near the end Alexander cause NY will find a way to win like they always do.

The one that jumps out at me the most is the 1974 game that ended in a 0-0 tie. Not so much because the game ended that way, but because NY had THREE 0-0 TIES that season!!
1974 NY Buckeyes:
4-2-3 (2-1-2) TVC
@ Crooksville 13-0 W
Trimble 0-0 T
Alexander* 0-0 T
Open
Federal Hocking* 33-8 W
Warren* 0-0 T
@ Belpre* 7-29 L
Miller 34-0 W
@ Vinton County* 12-0 W
Portsmouth West 0-28 L

@ Crooksville 13-0 W
Trimble 0-0 T

My prediction last week: N-Y 52 BELPRE 6 , ACTUAL SCORE: 49-6 (A lot of people said Boston wouldn't run the score up like that, I knew better).
This week: N-Y 35 ALEXANDER 17 (Another no contest, Alex has no defense).

Dave didn't try to run the score up if you go back and look at the film. You can't start taking a knee with 8 minutes to go in the game, and the Jv got a good bit of playing time!

Sure you don't work for MSNBC or NBC? That is the type of accuracy that you are exhibiting....
For the record, here's what I said:
Steely Dan wrote:This years version is not your typical Alexander team. The streak ends. Spartans win this game by three points, with their superior kicking game, and a strong defensive scheme to slow up with Buckeyes.

Get it straight and don't misquote me. I have no dog in this fight, so don't try to start a pissing contest by twisting words and making false statements.
This is typical. Someone doesn't agree with a NY resounding victory and a few, just a few, try to start something.

LOL. Do I need to go out to the woodshed for my flogging now?
Re: TVC-Ohio Nelsonville-York (6-0) @ Alexander (5-1)
NY didn't try to run up the score against Belpre; if that was the case they would have scored 70 easily.
Belpre played Alex close, and could have won the game. (Should have won the game) NY by at least 20.

Re: TVC-Ohio Nelsonville-York (6-0) @ Alexander (5-1)
Well Steely Dan how does Alexander have a superior kicking game????? NY has only missed one extra point & had one blocked all season & also we haven't tryed to a field goal yet because when we get across the 30 about 90% of the time this year we have scored I can only remember two times in the Trimble game that we went for it on 4th down across the 30 but we was near the goal line.... Also Alex must have great Defensive schemes if the do they haven't displayed it yet I guess they do have a superior D because if you look @ the stats it's clear NY's D is better but we shall all find out Friday

I agree let's look back on Fridays game NY gets the ball in the second quarter with about 2:30 left and starting field position in Belpre territory with all there timeouts instead of calling timeouts & trying to extend our lead before the end of the half we ran 4 running plays & Coach Boston let the game clock run down and take our 34-0 lead into half time we didn't try to run it up

Steely isn't talking about the point after attempt he is talking about a field goal which is 3 points hence Alex winning by three points.
Good Luck Buckeyes!!!
Keep the streak alive.
