I agree bf84 about Steely referring to the field goal aspect, but I think the potential is definitely there for NY to convert about a 35 yarder when needed, the pat's have plenty of leg behind them.

The kid at Alex has a leg but doesn't alwasy hit the ball correctly. He had a kickoff against Athens that carried the endzone but had a field goal try from 34 yds come up short and wide right. But if they need one to win I gurantee they aren't going to be afraid to try one.

should be another great athens county matchup this friday. both teams squeaked by trimble. sparty put up many more points on the tomcats, ny only scored 7, but those games were a month and a half ago. more recently, alex just got by belpre 35-28 on the road while the buckeyes won 49-6 last week at home. i think mother nature could play a big role in this one. if the field in albany is sloppy this week (not sure of it's condition) i'd give the edge to ny's power game. yes, alex has some very nice backs too, but in the trenches i think ny is stronger. spartans are at home looking to end the streak, ny wants to keep on keepin on. my guess is the buckeyes are looking ahead to next week vs athens...sparty gives em a scare, but ny pulls away late. big game from mr. arnold.......ny 34-17. good luck to both teams and stay healthy.

NY has only missed one extra point & had one blocked all season & also we haven't tryed to a field goal yet because when we get across the 30 about 90% of the time this year we have scored I can only remember two times in the Trimble game that we went for it on 4th down across the 30 but we was near the goal line.... Also Alex must have great Defensive schemes if the do they haven't displayed it yet I guess they do have a superior D because if you look @ the stats it's clear NY's D is better but we shall all find out Friday

Steely isn't talking about the point after attempt he is talking about a field goal which is 3 points hence Alex winning by three points.

Good Luck Buckeyes!!!

Keep the streak alive.

I understand that but I'm just saying IMO that NY has an equal kicking game we have been great in the point after game & we haven't had to try a field yet because we have been so good on scoring 6 on about every drive that we have moved acrossed the 30 aka field goal range Go Buckeyes Keep The Streak Alive!

Trimble Juvi - You know how bad I have wanted to post that, but was refraining- hopefully the Buckeyes wont do anything to warrant charges pressed against them for being too physical. :122245

Some teams seem to defacate down the proverbial inseam when facing certain opponents. I think that applies here. Hence, the Buckeyes run the record to 7-0 on their way to a another run, that being of the playoff variety.

Whompasscat are you serious? Sure there are some officials who move like they haven't washed their knickers in this millenium and appear to have an ear of corn in a certain very sensitive area. And a certain one who might pay more attention to keeping his wig on straight than he does to calling the game. But we can not fault Alexander management for hiring such under officious gentlemen several times a season can we?

Prediction time.... NY will be very focused going into this one. I know the Spartans are going to be jacked up to play & beat the Buckeyes....But I don't see that happening I feel NY's defense will contain Alexander's O and the Buckeyes O Line will be to physical for Sparty and NY's running led by Arnold & Cunningham will gash the Alexander defense & have a big night on the ground and after the game Friday the Buckeyes will be 7-0 after a 28-7 win over Alexander IMO GO BUCKEYES KEEP DA STREAK ALIVE !

Oh, I dont agree with him about what he said just trying to explain so there wasn't anymore confusion. I think NY's kicking game is fine.

Mild upset!

Alex. 24
Nelsonville-York 20

Youth, kicking game and turnovers will hurt the buckeyes. They will be thinking about the bullpuppies!

NY's offense has really come together of late especially on the o line. I don't see the defense loading up to stop arnold being a problem anymore with the diversified play calling from the Bucks coaching staff. This team is a lot harder to stop than they were the first three weeks of the season.
