OVC Coal Grove (5-1) @ South Point (1-5)
Re: OVC Coal Grove (5-1) @ South Point (1-5)
Since Lucas returned to Coal Grove, the Hornets have won three of the last five games against the Pointers:
2004: W - 43-26
2005: L - 26-27 (OT)
2006: L - 15-41
2007: W - 21-18
2008: W - 22-21
I've been at all of them. Most of them have been very exciting.

The score isn't going to be anywhere close to any of these..
CG is going to be able to put anybody they want in the backfield to run the ball.

South Point still should not be overlooked. They aren't nearly as good as last year, but this is a rivalry game and I expect South Point to treat it like one.

Sorry to take away from this topic (because I don't think that this will justify a whole new thread), but Hey Fuzz, is CG on pace to break any single season point records? They have an average after 6 games of 42 points per!

Mad_Dogg,
I believe that you are referring to Greg Taylor, the big tight end that was taken out in the ambulance? As far as I know, it was more of a stinger, and he played the next week.

Greg took a shot with his head down. He lost feeling in his arms and legs. By the time we got to the hospital feeling had returned. A cat scan was done on his head, neck and back. The Dr. told him to take 3 days off and return when he felt ready. He has played ever since. Thanks for asking.

Don't overlook the Pointers - Coal Grove's BIGGEST rivals no matter what they say.
