I was talking about the adults from burg. Everyone you talk to says the same thing, Burg people are stuck up, they think their better than everyone else and so on. Even Burg people say that about burg people. It must be hard being a 50 cent millionaire.

2007 was Burg 42 NHS 8. I think you are probably remembering the 2003-2004 game. The final in that one was Burg 35 NHS 19.

I wasn't agreeing or disagreeing with westfan27 just throwing a thought out there, I know some good people from the the west side and I know some good ones from burg too. It always does make my chuckle though when one school around tries to say they are less country than another. Even portsmouth is a country school if we're all honest with ourselves I mean we all do live in Appalachia. Burg wins this game by a lot, but NW will find some ways to stick around for the first half I would bet.

It was actually somewhat in jest precisely because of those people who do say "you guys think you're better than everyone else, don't you?" I get a chuckle out of some of that because a few people I used to work with said the same thing...they now live in Wheelersburg and that's where their kids go to school. They end up saying that we're not such bad people after all.

We don't just WANT to be rated excellent by the Ohio Education Association, we EXPECT and STRIVE to be rated excellent. We don't just WANT to win the SOC in every sport, we EXPECT and STRIVE to do so. The school, the students and the community expect to succeed at whatever they're doing, and if that makes them/us seem like snobs, so be it.
