siderman, I was responding to Bleeding Reds post about comments being pulled/deleted.
Those comments and then the entire thread was deleted because of ignorant, derogatory posts about Waverly and Mr.Roback in particular. Anyone with any common sense knows Roback is a gifted athlete.

I don't know that Waverly has folded for the season but I will agree they were very dejected Friday night as early as the 2nd quarter and may have given up on that game.

Whether the Tigers are too banged up to "compete" the rest of the year remains to be seen but they will suit up and go out there Friday night and give it their best. If that's not good enough to win, so be it.

i dont know the situation, but anyone that makes negative comments about a H.S. kid is pathetic....hope to see Waverly get things back to normal, just after this week 8)

Right now, the Tigers are a ship without a rudder. We looked lost on the field Friday night at West. I hope we have a good week of practice, b/c things don't get any easier. Valley will come in here expecting to win...make no mistake about it.

Valley is looking good this year and they should win this game by 2 or 3 TD's against a struggleing Waverly Team.

Tigers2010- my comment, which is my own personal opinion, is that Roback IS a D1 athlete. I may just disagree on how well he will do as a D1 football player after seeing Waverly really struggle with the only D1 athlete in the area. I am not blinded by him being on a struggling team. I do think there is a level of expectation of having a kid that is good enough to go D1, and I dont think Waverly is close to playing at that level of expectation. Everyone that has watched him play knows he is a gifted athlete. As I stated back last winter, again, good luck to him and it would be nice to see someone local playing on Saturdays.

Waverly is down this year and from what I'm hearing there's a player that runs the team. That player yells at his coaches and teamates whenever something doesn't go his way.So it sounds like to me theres lack of discipline and thats what the problem is.

Roback isn't the only D1 athlete in the area. He isn't the only one in Pike County. Piketon has Southworth.

Looks like sophomore Devin Kelly will get his first start under center for the Tigers.

Is Roback definitely out? If so, the tigers are in for a very long and ugly night.

Roback is a GREAT player, but it was a long and ugly night last year and he played the whole game.

The Tigers are just struggling right now, and I really hope to see them bounce back, just not this week. 8)

fanatic23,

I can assure you that the coaches do not put up with being screamed at. No one RUNS the Waverly football team except Head Coach Rusty Wright. I saw your posts about Roback, so i would guess this is a shot at him once again. There's no need for it. If it's about anyone else, then it is a still a completely misinformed post.

Do you really find yourself "laughing out loud" that you think a team will lose 3 straight? Wow...

Anyways, I think Valley can nip at least 1 of the 3 teams after Waverly, but we'll see how it plays out.

No, I'm laughing out loud at you Valley folks who actually think you have a shot at the SOC this year, or any year for that matter. Just keep posting your dribble.......

I'd say that Burg, Minford and West are all pulling for Waverly seeing that gives them more playoff points, if Burg and Minford can beat them. West has already beat them. I don't think Waverly has the players this year to play with most of the SOCII teams, especially if Malone is out.

If Valley can win this one and then upset one of the three, Burg, Minford or West, they could have a shot at making it to the playoffs. These last 4 weeks are going to be real intersting.
