Shakeup in R 19? - Minford forfeits win vs. River Valley

The OHSAA website is showing that Minford forfeited it's opening week win over River Valley. I wonder how that will impact the D V, R 19 standings?

I'm not sure why they forfeited, it doesn't say.

According to these playoff odds, this week Minford currently has a 29% chance to get to the playoffs with 7 wins. That puts even more pressure on them to win tomorrow! Unbelievable!

From what I've heard, it sounds like what happened to NY back in 2007. It was just an honest mistake on Minford's part. The Minford players and fans know they won that game on the field, and should take comfort in that fact. Hopefully Minford will still make the playoffs, even though the forfeit will probably have an effect on their final seeding. It's a sad situation, but mistakes happen.

The players should put this behind them and concentrate on West this week, which should be an awesome game!

This could also affect other teams like Coal Grove as RV now has the points for the Minford game and Coal Grove should beat RV in week 9 which will give them more L2 points.
