Well, not nearly as bad as you telling me yesterday that after Portsmouth beats the Tigers Friday night that Portsmouth will be hosting the first playoff game there!
Re: Rival Portsmouth 5-2 @ Ironton 5-2
now see that cant be right, even "IF" we are lucky enough to beat the Tigers,I doubtb that would be enough to give us a home play off game

What a different tune you are now singing! Did you not say that 'luck had nothing to do with it that the Trojans WILL be walking out of Tank Stadium with a W and a bunch of computer points Friday night?!'

Re: Rival Portsmouth 5-2 @ Ironton 5-2
Lots of joking and comraderie(sp) going on here. That is truly nice to see. Of course, I don't like to cause trouble, stay true to my tigers, and wish all our oppenents and teams from the area good luck in everything. My papa taught me that. I do think this will be a good game, packed as can be i hope, and i will be darned if I will stay at epcot selling wine at the food and wine festival past 6pm. I ran it over last week and didnt start listening until 8pm, but i did sell 5 $900 dollar bottles of wine to some investors that own a restaurant in knoxville. I will just jet out at 6pm regardless, and let my buddy take some comission for once!!! But anyway, nice to see the respect that everyone has on here for both teams, and I am so glad I am not having to read any B.S. like I had to for a couple of weeks back. Just goes to show that when you play each other for years, ups and downs for both, respect just naturally comes. When your riding high and seem untouchable for a cpl. of years, the respect bug doesnt get ya until you have some humble pie. I do think Ironton must be mentally prepared and focused only on this game to win. Portsmouth will be. If Ironton has the "ashland syndrome" they better snap out of it real quick. Im sticking with my tigers though.. gotigersgo. get the ball get the ball get the ball get the ball get the ball.. thats for you pops!
Oh, and got a nice job offer(not secure yet) at the new Ritz Carlton that just opened in charlotte.. will be preparing for that scenario shortly...And i was dreading the food and wine festival, because I have to leave the nice A.C. comfort my restaurant brings. Truthfully, it is a nice break, and ya gotta know your stuff as a sommelier cause you never know when your talking to owners like i was or just someone that wants 1 bottle only shipped to their home for their wine room. Its my ninth year to lead for this event and i almost sat out cause we have had a horrendous heatwave, but this is a great opportunity for me, and I am sick of Florida. I want to end up at the Biltmore in Asheville before i retire back to the tri-state... Sorry for off topic, but just got the call today from my leader about the info... A good day off for me...

An easy drive, even turn around and go back, is less than from Orlando. Cheap out of sanford, FL to Huntington round trip on Allegiant even non-stop. You are home in less than two hours, so i will do that when the time is right soon! I must wait a few weeks because i used lots of vacation going to vegas and cali for some wine classes, so i must wait for post season, before i can take time off again. usually i go home for burg opener, and when i feel the tigers have met their match post season..
1999 was three weeks of frequent flyer miles.. When we took out germantown valley view with their quarterback going down, i was flying in and out in and out, the shoe shine guy in charlotte even remembered me.. hahaha...

Re: Rival Portsmouth 5-2 @ Ironton 5-2
ok boys, time to knock off the name-calling and get back on the topic.........I know you arent from TigerTown by your comments so lets respect each other and the two teams playing this Friday............regardless of who wins both teams have a shot at the post-season and that is all that matters..............
Big Orange told me when Minford gets a home game in the first round that all Tiger fans will be treated to a nice bar-b-que at his farm..........it has been years since this opportunity presented itself and he wants to make the most of it...........doggie will bring his mobile grill and I will be in charge of the beverages, I owe Orange 6 Goebels and that is exactly what he will get.......

with all his decade of dispair talk, and all that .
I mean he has ben sending me PMS, telling me how bad the Tigers aree going to run it up on us, but stil, its just not the same
Uh huh...and...since I said that about Portsmouth, their win % is only 42% and they have only made 2 playoff appearances! I think I had it pretty darned right!....
Then again, I also said not too long after that, Ironton would leave the SEOAL but I got blasted for making that statement as well
Ironton's decade of despair still exists.
No Regional Championships in the 21st Century...
Call the World Wildlife Fund and place the Fighting Tigers on the "endangered list". We must protect the Fighting Tigers from extinction.
If regional titles outline "dispair," the Trojans have had a lifetime of dispair. What do ya have, one regional title?
