I believe there were only 4 penalties altogether - 2 against each team.
So very little "yellow" flying on the field tonight!!!!!!

Congrats to the Tigers. Trojans made to many mistakes tonight. I expected more fans on both sides but it must have been to cold.

great effort tonight by both teams, portsmouth is very athletic, and just made some mistakes , that the tigers took advantage of. but a very good portsmouth team, none the less. i believe the tigers are in overdrive now. i like the passing we are doing. and looks like we may be a hard out, the rest of the season.

and congratulations to ironton coach bob lutz as he ties hamilton badin's terry malone for ohio's winningest football coach. next week, a win would secure the record outright. great solid game tigers.

Good W by Ironton too many mistakes before half killed us but I'm proud of the Trojans for coming out in the second half and never giving up also up until those mistakes the Trojans D was on fire and played great even missing a key MLB. But still no excuses we got beat by a REALLY good Ironton team. Lots of backs in the backfield for them.

Good game Tigers, I thought you guys were going to pull away big time for a minute but we seemed to regain our composure in the second half. It was a nice trip down there and it was nice seeing everybody, especially my old buddy bait, even if I did get the evil eye from someone's grandparents for standing up for a second during the band performance.

Congrats to Coach Lutz and his Tigers first of all. As for the Trojans, they showed me something tonight. They could have folded up shop in the second half, but they didn't. Our offense has been able to score points all year and they did again against a good Ironton D. With 9 starters coming back next year for the Trojans on offense makes me excited. We have 4 OL, QB, TE, 2RB, and WR coming back. We still have a chance at the playoffs this year if we win out. We have to remember this is a great turnaround from 1-9 last year. I predicted we would go 7-3 this year and I believe we will. Stay positive Trojans and finish this year off with a playoff birth. GO TROJANS!

Congratulations to the Ironton Fighting Tigers on the win and to Coach Bob Lutz on the record tying win.........Ohio high school football probably will never see another coach last as long or win as many games as Coach Lutz has.......

As has been posted by a number of Trojans on here, I was VERY PROUD of the way our kids came out and battled in the second half........putting up 28 points on Ironton's defense/special teams is not an easy feat........unfortunately we just couldn't get the stops on defense.

I predicted 7-3 before the season, and I feel pretty good about our chances to reach that mark........and I hope the computer points fall right for us to make the playoffs.

GO TROJANS!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- p98, it was great seeing you as well, as well as trojandave, biggdowgg, ozzieohio. and all the other really cool people from p-town. you guys have a very good, and athletic team, and it's a good thing we hadda lead, because the trojands never gave up, and stormed back in the 2nd half. they left it all on the field. thats what makes this series amazing. can't wait for the tigers to see your beatiful new digs next year. i say you dub it , CLIFFORD STADIUM.
