Two years ago West lost the Minford game and didn't come to play the next week against Valley. I don't know what their psychy was that game, but they seemed to sleep walk through the first 3 quarters and only played about 1 quarter of West football. They nearly came back and won, but couldn't come all the way back.

There are still guys on this team that I'm sure remember that game. They need to make sure West comes out with the right mindset this time. Valley is better than they were two years ago, but so is West.

West still has a shot at a share of the gold football if they win out and Valley beats Minford, which is possible in a rivalry game. Not to mention probable playoffs if they win out. Plenty for West to still play for.

There's a "whole" lot of Sider blood in this Indian.. My dad was on the first West team in '47. Played defensive back. He always talks about an interception at New Boston in the endzone. Pretty cool story actually. I think he donated his jersey to the school. I'm not sure. I had 4 uncles play thru the 50's and 60's for the Senators as well. But, having said that, I'm a Valley Indian.. should be a great game. West would be my 2nd favorite team, if I had one.  But I don't. Go Valley! Go OAF!!! Try and show up at the tailgate party. I'll invite some of my Sider friends so you won't feel so intimidated...... That's right!!! I know you guys travel in bunches

Very interesting matchup in Lucasville this week. Can West get it all together? Can Valley play with the physical style of West? I dont know the answers to these but we will all find out friday night. Heres to a hard fought and injury free game for both squads. May the best team win.

I will take the Indians in this game, West has a young line and that will cost them the game as it did against Minford. I am predicting West to be one of the top contenders for the SOC II Title next year.

Just to put this out there I am not doggin Wests players they are a very talented group of young men.

mr. diaz,
i must refute your argument.
i've had more post removed in one week on seop forums,
than on all other forums which i've ever posted, combined.

as for choice words,
my concern is not for the literacy of the moderator,
rather their ineptitude,
yea, the competency of their cognative dissonance.

so lemmie just re-post my recap of the west-minford matchup,
for the record:

(i'll give five to one odds this post is removed)

crow it is,
after west's thrashing of waverly,
and misleading loss to portsmouth,
i was disillusioned with sider pride.

(much the same way the pathetic moderators of this thread
are disillusioned with the power to delete relevant posts  )

if west wants to win another game,
(other than northwest)
they need to watch this game film on a daily basis,
and take notes.

why?
first,
the game was won between the tackles.
(or lost between the tackles,
noting the first possessions by west)

the debate over best back/backfield in the county is irrelevant,
and the matchup between minford wr's and west secondary
would be redundant to reiterate.

second,
minford defense did not stop until the whistle blew.
(with eight defenders on any given tackle)
while west seemed to be conserving their energy for the second half.
(apparent by their incongruously disunified attempts to stall the falcon offense)

and finally,
football is a game of momentum,
and the falcons came to play football.
west came out flat,
and made a couple mental mistakes
that dashed their hopes of any momentum shifts.

if you prefer cliff notes,
the winning team will:
a: come out ready to play
b: give one-hundred percent until the whistle blows
c: overcome mental mistakes

stick it in there :122246 ,
ttc~

Good Luck to the West Siders it would be very nice to see you stick it to the Indians. The Indians PUD schedule is over. It is SOC II time baby!

Gee, based on this post, it looks like u don't view West as being much better than the "pud schedule" as u called it above. Which is it man, pud schedule time or SOC II time?

Be careful as u ride that fence. I'd hate for a fence post to get stuck where the sun don't shine and prevent u from sharing your expert opinions.

Hard to argue that one Trophy Case.. Depends on the moderator and the mood of the old fart, but yeah, either it will be deleted or "just changed up a bit"

As for the game, I totally agree. Whoever shows up really prepared with effort and intellegence wins this one...Go Indians... Go OAF!!!!
