If the Oaks go 10-0, they have the best shot of anyone in the region of making the playoffs. No, they probably won't get a home game unless they get a lot of help, but they will make it to week 11 for the first time in the history of Oak Hill Football.

Gnawing on what bone!!!!! I was simply making an observation of the schedule ahead of this week. There are some very talented teams breathing down your neck, which most of them are playing larger division opponents, not smaller! I hope you guys do make the playoffs.............however.......don't be looking for a Minford rematch when a whole lot has to happen each week in favor of the Oaks!!
I am sorry to differ in opinion!

minford should want the rematch, if im not mistaken we beat minford.... so uhh?

I have actually crunched some numbers and if teams win out this is what the playoff seedings could look like.

1. 21.00 avg. Minford (Valley)
2. 20.87 avg. Monroe Central (Barnesville, Frontier)
3. 20.40 avg. Caldwell (Fort Frye, Bishop Rosecrans, Shenandoah)
4. 20.35 avg. Oak Hill (Symmes Valley)
5. 20.05 avg. Liberty Union (West Jefferson)
6. 19.75 avg. Fredericktown (Utica)
7. 19.05 avg. Wheelersburg (Valley, West)
8. 18.55 avg. Ridgewood (Tuscarawas Central Catholic, Malvern)
9. 17.20 avg. Coal Grove (Fairland)

Teams in parentheses indicate games that could shake things up.

When oak hill fans start thinking they could be ironton by two td's (like someone said on another thread) it's time to start looking out for an upset. SV is probably the last team capable of doing that though on the schedule.

I'm pretty sure the Oaks have 3 more games to play just like every other team.

I reckon that buckdowninOtown was doing the same thing you were which is stating his/her opinion about what will happen this friday. I suppose that means that both of your brillance of internet chatboards is standing out. Whatever that means...

This thread was made before the Oak Hill/ND game. Tobias got upset because it said "SOCI Championship" before Oak Hill played ND. There have been posts deleted from this thread.

The Oaks are currently in 6th place, dropping two spots from last week. The final two games after Symmes Valley are South Gallia and Green. The Oaks have to defeat the Vikings and hope for some help in order to make the playoffs. It is going to be very close. Good Luck Oaks!

I just have a feeling the football gods will bless the Falcons with a shot at redemption and a chance to shut some oak hill fans up. Its also not crazy to think that Oak hill could finish anywhere from 6-8 and that minford could finish anywhere from 1-3, and im sure this team would love to have the Oaks at home.

Oaks and Falcons matchup would be great in the playoffs...anyway...it will be too strong teams slugging it out, both have big lines, and can run the ball...but the difference will be Oak Hill's athletes and ability to throw the ball...Oak Hill 21 Symmes Valley 7

Come on Oak's, you can't let us down now!! You have got to win out, and let us, Falcon's, have another chance. With such a weak schedule, you can't afford to lose any games. Everyone from Minford will be pulling for you to win out. If you make the play-offs, then we will see if you are as good as Ironton, or even good enough to beat the Falcons twice!!!!

Good Luck to The Oak's, all of us Falcons are behind you!!

Proud to be a Falcon!!!

There is more **** stirred on here by individuals that dont have the remotest connection with the football teams, coaching staffs or for that matter 99% of the student body or even the community of the school being talked about. Then the other side of it you have someone who wants to jump on a comment made by that person to make something out of it. I assure you this the 99% of the people who do have a connection with the football program have nothing but the most respect for the Ironton football program or any team they would play. I would have to say what I have liked about this year is that the people that are true supporters of Oak Hill football and those that are part of the team have been very business like in their approach to this year. So when someone gets on here , saying OAK HILL THINKS THIS, OR OAK HILL THINKS THAT, quit trying to stir the drama up, you dont know what your talking about.

Yea just because someone said Oak Hill would beat Ironton by two touchdowns dont make judgement on our whole fan base. It was probably a kid.
GO OAKS

agreed. kind of stupid statement. the oaks are capable of overcoming any challenge but i doubt they would beat Ironton by 2 touchdowns. IMO

Just to let you know, sv000000 is not from Symmes Valley and does not speak for anyone at Symmes Valley. They have been on other threads posing as someone from Symmes Valley when they are not. Just remember that when you read anything posted by them.
If things go well, I think SV can make it a good game, but we'll find out Friday.
