Jackson (6-1, 3-1) at Chillicothe (1-6, 0-3)

Post by ironman02 »

After its first loss of the season, Jackson will travel to Chillicothe to meet the Cavaliers on their Senior Night. Chillicothe has lost their last six games, including a loss at Gallia Academy in Week 7. Since Chillicothe's entrance into the SEOAL in 2006, this series has become a very heated rivalry. Will the Ironmen be able to recover from the loss to Ironton and keep their SEOAL title and playoff hopes alive, or will the Cavs pick up a big win on Senior Night? What does everyone think?

Jackson will have no problem defeating Chilly. Just have a good week of practice and come out and do your job.

As for Chilly, weel let me be kind and say June and July are over. However keep your heads up, June and July will come around in 2010 and you can return to be a feared team.

Cavs are really, really awful. How awful ? Losing to winless Gallia awful.

Now Jackson may have to struggle to beat them, but in the end, Jackson will win.

Jackson's team has been mentally strong all year. They've been able to overcome a couple deficits, win close games, and deal with injuries. Now we'll have to see how they respond after a loss. I believe they'll be ready to go on Friday and play a solid football game. Chillicothe has had a rough year, but they have talent and this is Senior Night for them, so I would expect them to come out and play well also.

I would look for Jackson to try to establish the running game early on. They'll still try to be balanced to keep Chillicothe's defense off balance, but I think it will be very important to get Arthur and Ervin involved early. Once the run is established, things will open up for Kruize and the passing game, and I'm sure the Ironmen "O" will take advantage of that.

Hope to see the Ironmen healthy this week, but I'm not sure if that will happen. Whatever the case may be, Jackson should be highly motivated to win this football game. There's still A LOT for the Ironmen to be playing for...playoffs and a possible SEOAL championship game with Logan in Week 9. None of that is possible without a victory this week though, so it's time to get the job done.

Really,895 ??

Watching what ?? A really awful 1-6 Chilly team or a fake 6-1 Jackson team who hasn't played anyone ?? In a struggle , Jackson should win.

If you are watching me, I'll be in Massillon this week-end. 8)

I see Jackson winning this one fairly easily..probably by 3 TD's IMO..as stated..Chili is obviously pretty down this year and I think they lack the confidence it's going to take to win another game this season.
