Jackson 20 - Chillicothe 0 - Final.

Oustanding defensive effort by the Ironmen tonight. Chillicothe had a couple opportunities with great field position, but the Jackson "D" stood tall EVERY time. Landrum, Klingaman, and the boys were all over the field. Chillicothe only had one really big play and Kip Winchester was able to run down Whittaker and make a nice open-field tackle. Jackson's defense forced four Chillicothe turnovers and had the blocked FG that Ironman92 mentioned. GREAT team defense.

The offense struggled against Chillicothe's defense a lot of the game, but the Cavs were stacking the box with 9 and 10 guys all night. It cost them on the long TD pass to Haller, but for the most part, Jackson kept the ball on the ground, ran the clock, and kept Chillicothe's playmakers on defense rather than offense. Shay Netter played an outstanding game for the Cavs...seemed like he was in on every tackle. Chillicothe played hard on their senior night, but in the end, the Ironmen got the shutout and moved to 7-1. Now they will travel to Logan next week in an SEOAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Win and the Ironmen can do no worse than a share of the league title!

Let's get ready for next week! SEOAL title and the playoffs are on the line again. Embrace the role of the underdog and get it done!

As we seen when the teams had their 7 on 7, chillicothe has discipline problems with a few players and the coaches have let it get out of hand and now the whole team is suffering because of it. I hate to see that for any team member who is working hard and doing the right things. Good luck to those individuals and keep your heads up.
Good jod ironmen and especially the D.
