I think the bell came from one of the Old Washington School buildings. Maybe someone in the class of 1970-71 can verify that.

Ithink the bell came from an old church,and the year they went undefeated ,it was mounted on a trailer and pulled to all of the away games by some of the students.I think it was mounted at the pool after that season.Its been a long time , Iwas in jr high, but I think i remember them pulling it through Jackson with one of the students on the back ringing it.

Wonder if anybody has been able to charter a bus for the away game at Zanesville on Oct. 23?

There was talk about it last February.

Maybe Bob Hood of the Gallia County Tourist Bureau has some pull to help fans and students obtain one.

If enough would chip in, it sure would beat driving.

Not much time left to seek a chartered bus. Under stand some GAHS students tried, but were told no charter busses would be available until the first of December.

This St.Thomas Aquinas is in Louisville (Oh), in the same city as the team currently ahead of Logan in Region 7. They are located between Canton and Alliance.

Lost in all the excitement of the Blue Devils first victory last Friday is the fact that the Hartley game is the last home game of the 2009 season and thus is Senior Night!

Prior to the game, parents will be honored and following the game the senior football players and cheerleaders will walk the length of the field one last time.

Dylan Hunter, Nick Roach, Nate Allison, Shaun Pethel, Xavier Lewis, Nathaniel Gordon, Jared Gravely, and Kyle Dingess will don the blue home jersies and make the march down the field house steps concluding six years in the GAHS football program.

The Blue Devils finish the season with road games at Zanesville and Marietta.

Thanks guys for all your hard work and leadership! It has been a pleasure watching you play the game you love.

Lets not forget the Senior cheerleaders: Alyssa Kessel, Amanda Jarvis, Carly Adkins, and McKenzie Hood. Thanks Ladies!!!!!!!!

I understand this would be the first game of the year for Hartley on natural grass if we had any natural grass left. I assume the makers of synthetic turf dont also make synthetic mud!
