Re: Alexander @ Meigs
Buckmaster - Alexander woke a sleeping giant? Seriously? This is this how you justify the loss - the buckeyes were snoozing?
Alexander will be 7 and 1 after Friday night.

One of the Spartan parents told me #2 was limping bad and seen on crutches after the game. Hope he is ok. They will need all their weapons to beat Meigs. I favor Meigs at home in this one.

Meigs can throw the ball and that is the spartans weakness. Meigs wont be able to stop the spartans, Alex wins in a shootout43-42

If we really want to know who will win this game it comes down to this.
Who makes the fewest mistakes. We all know both have powerful O's,
but D and mistakes. The Team with the fewest wins......

Re: Alexander @ Meigs
This will be a solid Division IV TVC Ohio game. Meigs has the best pure passing QB that I've seen in watching TVC games for the past 7 years. Alexander's offense has played well in all games except vs. Athens. Both teams are capable of putting points on the board, and both teams have been accused of having suspect defenses. Line play and defense should be the deciding factors in this one. Not sure of the field conditions at Meigs, but forecast is for cool, wet weather.
I believe that Alexander needs to win out to make the playoffs (Meigs, Vinton County, Wellston). Meigs can go 5-5 on the season if they win out (Alexander, Wellston, Belpre). Alexander will not take Meigs lightly, even after a win last week, and Meigs will be motivated to win at home and the rest of the way.
I pick Alexander to win. Good luck to both teams, and see you at the game.

Re: Alexander @ Meigs
The flu may play a big part in this one. Meigs has several key players who are out sick at this time and it is my understanding that practice was cancelled on Wednesday.
Re: Alexander @ Meigs
I hope everyone is healthy and ready to go Friday night..if thats the case i think Meigs can play with Alex...could go either way. Id say this one will come down to the wire. Ill give the edge to Meigs only because its @ Meigs.

Re: Alexander @ Meigs
Not sure if anyone noticed but the week 7 leaderboard was posted on trivalleyconference.com ... I know some T.V guys and a couple of radio fellas that use at as tool for their broadcast so its up and hopefully 100% correct .... Were getting into some bigger numbers and some newspapers are not the same as some coaches stats so when it comes to the LEADERBOARD - give or take a few carries, some yards and a catch or two ...

GOOD LUCK ALEXANDER SPARTANS
You are facing a really good Meigs team and will need to play all four quarters.
Alexander comes out on top in a close game to go 7 – 1

Oh no, just saw the weather forecast on the tv...Does anyone know if there will be a radio station doing the game? or Is WATH & WXTQ & WAIS/WSEO all doing the Athens/NY game?

Hope Meigs' boys can get healthy fast.
I heard that Tuesdays practice there was only like 17 or 19 that showed up and Wednesdays practice had to be cancelled all together due to the flu.

Really?...I always thought they mainly covered meigs in football...hopfully its on somewhere! I think its going to be too good of a game to not be covered.. Hopfully everyone on both sides are feeling well, and have an injury free game...good luck to both teams!
