#1 - A guy walked into a bar in McArthur and orders a mudslide. The bartender looks at the man and says, "You ain't from around here are ya?

#2 - The mayors office in McArthur burned down! Yep. Pert' near took out the whole trailor park. The library was a total loss too. Both books -poof up in flames and he hadn't even finished coloring one of em.

#3 - Where was the toothbrush invented? In McArthur. If it had been invented anywhere else it would have been called a teeth brush.

#4 - Did you hear that they have raised the minimum drinking age in McArthur to 32? It seems they want to keep alcohol out of the High Schools.

#5 - Did you hear about the Vinton County Lottery? ( Come on this funny)

The Logan sectional will be a hard one to come out of seeing how only 1 team will advance.....Not sure about New Lex Farfield U or Sheridan...but i know Gallia gave VC fits last year in the sectional championship game...Marietta had the 1 seed last year..Athens will be tough this year...add in Warren and Logan Elm...my oh my this should be a great sectional to watch!!! I think just about any one of these teams could make it out...

Hawkeye--I agree with you after learning that only one will make it to the Convo from this group...A sectional Championship would be a great if VC can make it out of this great group of teams! I guess were just use to winning one and being in....not the case this year!!

Vinton County has to be the clear favorite. Most of the team comes back from last years TVC Championship team. The seniors at VC have already won 3 TVC crowns and I'm sure Grillo and Company are poised win a 4th. Not since Belpre from 1999 to 2002 has this feat been accomplished.

Belpre has the talent to unseat VC but can they prove that over a 12 game schedule. Tate and Sims give Belpre an outstanding 1-2 scoring punch but Belpre must play much better team defense and take better care of the basketball than they did last year.

all i know is that athens better hope they don't win it. they already took so much bs in the football forum for having success. they are damned if they do ("you should because you're so much bigger) and damned if they don't ("you can't even beat schools much smaller than you").

i personally don't buy into any of that nonsense. i would actually kind of like to see athens get really pissed and win every single tvc title in every sport for the next ten years. imagine the ocean of tears around the league then.....

Even if Athens wins the league this year...people wont (and cant) dog on them, because the top teams in the TVC are equal or better than the top teams in any league in SEO.

You cant really say that for football...which is why they were put down.

Gotta go with VC until someone knocks them off. I dont know a whole lot about too many teams around the league...but Belpre can be dangerous IF they can play together the whole season and keep the egos in check...which honestly I think Parsons may be able to do. He knows these kids and has coached a lot of them off and on since they were in 3rd grade. Gonna be interesting to see though.

btw, is Sims eligible to play or not? I'm not in town so don't really hear a whole lot...PM me if you have an answer and would rather not discuss it on here..
