SHL 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions

North Adams beat West Union. I believe the score was 8-4. This was West Union's first game as all their scrimmages and games were rained out and you could tell. Too many errors on the field. Had some good hits but too many runners were left on the bases. Game today versus Ripley. Good luck Lady Dragons.

West Union over Ripley. WU had big improvement in their fielding. Base running still needs work. Sami Hinton had some really nice hits.

Morgan Wright did a good job pitching for Ripley but Ripley had trouble hitting the ball.

I don't think Stout struggles. She is accurate but she is not overpowering like some are in the league. I'm also not going blame the coaches because in my opinion the mechanics for pitching need to be instilled long before a player reaches high school.

IMO a couch should know the weaknesses of the team and the players coming up. If they know the proper pitching mechanics are not being taught by the summer rec coaches then have a pitching camp every year.

I would have to say after seeing the Stout girl pitch this year and last year she has improved a whole lot. I think she did struggle last year but can't really say that now.

In the MIT 1st games Peebles over West Union and North Adams over Manchester. 2nd games Peebles wins over North Adams and West Union over Manchester.

That's a big win. Fairfield was the best team I had seen so far this year.
