Trimble has some fine younger players. We hope to see them in P21 uniforms soon...

Eastern did lose a few good players but they still have alot of good players there. Pierce, Hendrix, Connery, Benedum,Brannon. I would love to see Lynch back on the baseball field

middlechild - I did not mean to offend last year`s Eagle players so:
Hendrix- best hands defensivley at 3rd in past 10 yrs.- great hitter-great attitude
Buckley-Good lefty hitter & pitcher (excellent junk) - great kid
Griffin- Best natural baseball ability of any Eastern player in the Bowen Coaching era. Most Valuable Offensive Player TVC his last 2 yrs.& excellent defensively where ever he played.

With that being said I still think they return alot of good players this year. They should be good but some will have to really step up & excel.
Jake Lynch would be a good addition, his brother Joel was one of my favorites.

P21 is Athens Post 21 American Legion (summer) Baseball. Trimble is within the Athens P21 area but we have had few players from Trimble join the team. I think Anthony Dixon was the last Tomcat to play for P21. We hope to see more Trimble players try out in the future... http://www.p21baseball.net

Thanks G W. I thought that was it, but wasn't sure. I think there are some very talented kids in the sophmore grade that will playing varsity. Some of the contributed last year as freshmen. The reserve team went 14-2 so they can play. Problem is they will sophmores playing against seniors from the looks of some of the rosters.

the cats will be young and should get better as the year goes on. the next couple of years should be fun for the cats in the league. the group of sophmores have been playing together for several years and have great potential

They did have a good JV team. They split with Southern who was good as well at the reserve level.

the 2 games the JV lost was due to some of their players being brought up to varsity. that put them in a tough spot with pitching.

With the two baseball schools from Meigs County in the Hocking it will be tough for the Cats to do well in the league. Add those two powerhouses to a legit FH team year in and year out and mid pack seems like a good goal for the rest.

Alot of talent coming from both teams and both games should be Showdowns and I look forward for Southern making it back to the Regionals for the 4th year in a row and also look forward for Eastern to get back there as well. Trimble will be a suprise as well to most teams. They do have alot of talent as well. I look forward for Trimble to finish up 3rd.
1.)Southern or Eastern
2.)Southern or Eastern
3.)Trimble
4.)Fed Hock
5.)Miller
6.)Waterford

pretty good list...gotta look for miller and waterford to compete with fed hock this year

Its gonna be between Eastern and Fed for the title, Southern will be right there for it but will come up short, after being blown out by Eastern last year and losing 4 seniors from last year they'll be right there but come up a little short, but Manuel and Cunningham should be strong on the mound for Southern though. The Eastern vs Fed matchup will definitley be a great game to watch as a former player i love the big matchups.

I think Waterford will suprise a lot of people this year. I know the past few years for them have been really rough but they have a team full of athletes this year. would not go as far as saying they will win the tvc but they should get some respect back for the program with a very talented junior class and a great group of freshman work hard and should turn out to be pretty good.

The road to the hockling division runs through Tuppers Plains. With Pierce on the mound and the best coaching staff ever at eastern we are a sure bet! Come get some!

I would say it runs through Stewart and you can't count out the district champs from last year either.
