Let's not forget the Dragons this year. They losy a ton of talent but with Thackston and Fisher on the mound they will be pretty good. Baise moved in from Chesapeake and with Campbell and Begil, they cant be overlooked. If Bloomfield plays, which I heard he was, it will put them up there at the top. Thackston as a sophomore will be the best pitcher in the league with Sparks.Rock Hill needs to play more than 10 games to be considered a favorite. It is pretty easy to save pitching when you only play half of your schedule because they cant get on the field. Of course that is not the players fault, they are a good group of ballplayers. CG has Sparks but if they pitch him like they did last year the poor kids arm will fall off.

By the way Fairland's Baseball team from a year ago has 5 kids playing college baseball this year, that is pretty remarkable coming from a small school.

Tyler Thackston- University of Charleston
Nate Burcham-Barea College
Zach Jordan-Rio Grande
Tyler Godby-Rio Grande
Robbie Easterling-WV State

ROCKHILL PLAYED MORE THAN 10 GAMES LAST YEAR [SONNY]
THIER RECORD WAS 10WINS AND 6 LOSTS AND 1 SCRIMMAGE
9 RAIN OUTS WITH 6 OF THOSE WHERE AWAY GAMES AND 3 AT HOME.
AND 1 NO SHOW, [THIER COACH HAD A PROBLEM]
FAIRLAND WILL BE OK BUT THEY LOST WAY TO MUCH I BELIEVE 7 OR 8 STARTERS HARD TO LOSE THAT MUCH AND MAKE A RUN IN THE OVC

Is this turning into a Dragon forum or what?
Fairland had a nice team last year, but those guys have played together for years. That's what it takes to be winners, guys that like to play and play together as a team.
Maybe some of the other HS players will take note and dedicate themselves a little more to the game.
They also have to be willing to work in the offseason.

Fairland will make a run, strong baseball tradition. They know how to win and with 1 senior on the team will be even better next year. Rock Hill will be tough but I think we can be at the top with them.

I think Sonny is right.Even without Snyder as coach they have an experienced guy in charge and a BIG factor in having some parental backing that probably no one else in the league comes close to.I'm talking actual knowledge and experience and the ability to work successfully with the players.Rock Hill should have the premier facility in the county but until they get either the staff and/or some volonteers motivated it won't be much and that doesn't do much to encourage the kids to play.

river valley isnt gonna win ovc game...fairland lost alot of players....coal grove only has wayne and murph....rockhill only has blagg, davenport, and malone...and sp has a few good players that should produce a ovc victory...mcclure has been catching since his sophmore year...dickess has been pitching since his freshman year and to add he pitched a full game against coal grove only allowing 3 runs in a 7 to 3 victory....adkins will be pitching some he needs to work on accuracy, winkler will be pitching in the #2 spot after dickess and adkins will bring the #3spot and how can you say sp has no heart?

squinks, just off the top of my head i remember cody massie from rock hill, he's a good ballplayer too! i know there are others, but i can't think of names...my point being, rock hill will have a solid team this year with more than just 3 good players!

I THINK YOU ARE FORGETTING ABOUT DARBY,MASSIE,HACKWORTH JUST TO NAME A FEW MORE THAT PITCH WITH MALONE AND BLAGG
COAL GROVE WILL BE GOOD WHEN SPARKS IS PITCHING
SP WHEN DICKESS IS PITCHING
FAIRLAND THEY LOST ALL STARTING PITCHING AND PEAKE NOT SURE.
:-D :-D

i said thats there best players not all.....and darby is a joke he couldnt hit a beachball if it was sitting still...and your right massie os a good ball player but not the best on the team...and when dickess is pitching for sp i doubt they lose a game cuz he has been pitching against malone, massie, blagg, davenport for the past 4 years and he knows wat to throw and when to throw it

Yea I've seen the Dickess kid pitch in all stars. He's got some good stuff, but doesn't want to give everything he has at all times. He could be a plus for South Point, but he won't have any help.
