parking is a little easier since they tore the old school down, but getting out would be difficult. park on green street or spring street (both at the bottom of the hill) or by the post office and walk up. the walk stinks, but getting out is easier. everyone be safe and GO BURG!!!!

THere is plenty of parking up top now since the school is gone. Yeah, it takes a little while to get back if you rush right to your car, but whats the hurry? i always wait around for a little bit, let the crowd thin out and then go to the car.

Here is another vote for pmow getting back on. He couldn't of said anything worse than what was and has been said to him in the past. Something does need to be done about it or this site is going to end up like the puddle and you won't have anyone from around the area on it.

I sure hope this game is as good as everybody thinks it's going to be. If the score gets crazy, it will be hard for anybody to leave early. Unless you find a good parking spot. If they pack you in, where the old High School was, you might have to watch the whole game.

And that STUPID CANNON will drive you CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Valley has absolutely no chance. Burg will not give them the game like West did. Valley's passing attack is OVERRATED. They struggled against West's horrible secondary. Tell Shank and the boys to watch for the cheap shots. Especially from Buckiwitz.

Sour grapes? Valley's passing is overrated....they just have the 4th most passing yards in the area.

There is only 4 teams that throw the ball and Valley is last. Valley will not break 100 yrds passing tonight.

It looks like a small batch of thunderstorms might roll through right around game time or a little after and some of the area games may be delayed by lightning.

As for parking, I guess a lot of you haven't been to the Burg since the school was torn down. There is plenty of parking and no problem whatsoever getting out of the paking lot if you want to leave early.

Good luck to both teams and hopefully and injury free game.

Game is on 99.3 WNXT FM.

It'll be worse news when you have to share the SOC title with them AND Burg.

Final stats from the radio

Wheelersburg 41
Rushing, 47/404 yards - that's impressive!! 4 TD's
Passing, 2/6, 29 yards, 1 TD
Total, 433 yards
Penalties, 5/55 yards
Craigmiles, 15/181 yards, 2 TD'S
Shankweiler, 14/115 yards, 1 TD
Lang, 7/82 yards rushing, 2/6 29 yards passing. 1TD rushing, 1TD passing
Hall, 14 yard INT for TD
Stegman, 1 TD reception. I didn't get his yardage though, but I think it was a 29 yard TD catch.

Valley 14
Rushing, 31/57 yards, 1 TD
Passing, 6/17, 94 yards, 1 TD
Total, 151 yards
Penalties, 3/15 yards
Holcomb, 10/37 yards rushing
Utley, 5/15 passing, 97 yards, 1 TD didn't get his rushing yards, but I'm sure they were negative yardage.
Yates, 4/95 yards recieving, 1 TD

Congrats to the Pirates on the much needed and very impresive win and good luck to the Indians next week against Minford. All of Wheelersburg will be rooting for you guys to win so there would be a 3 way tie for the SOC II plus the Burg can use the computer points.

Wasn't realy impressed with Valley's passing game. I know the field was wet but someone made the comment on here earlier that the wet field would favor Valley and it didn't.

Valley scored on a short field after a good punt return and then the second TD was makeup from Stegmans TD in the first half that Valley thought was out of bounds. On Valley's second TD, 14 for Valley got himself a little seperation between him and the defender. pretty easy to catch a ball when the defender is lying on the ground.

The pass, catch and pitch was a nice play. the Valley player just dropped the ball. No one touched him. That was a for sure TD.

Another thing that baffled me is why does Lang wear gloves while hi is under center? Ball looked like a greased pig everytime he touched it. They finally had him take them off in the 4th qtr. The game was over by then.
