Looks like the rain COULD slow down or move out by game time, but its definitely going to be wet all day.

Good thing we have the carpet to keep the field from getting too saturated!

It's one of the best days of the year.....Logan/Jackson Game Day! GO Chiefs!

Look for Logan to use mis-direction runs, the wildcat and screens to take out the pass rush that everyone has been using early in games lately against them. If they can make a team pay early for gambling on pressuring and hurrying Pat, it will allow Logan to utilize the spread more effectively and keep the opposing defense guessing. In any study of successful warfare, you hit 'em where they aint.

Absolutely. Logan will come out with some creative ways of getting the ball into the hands of Mays and McDaniel.
Match ups I'll have my eye on include the pass rush of both teams, especially Logan's after the loss of Robinson.
I am anxious to see what the weather is going to do, as it is the greatest equalizer in sports, but the effects of that are diminished somewhat by the playing surface.
Logan does need to pitch the ball around a fair amount no matter what the conditions. You have no clue what the weather will be like in November, and you must be ready to win a game by any means necessary, especially when you've had trouble running against good teams. This is the only real weakness for the squad.

Logan 42-7 when practice time begins at the end of 3. 42-14 Final.

Good luck and good health to all.

Dazed, you must have read Friday's edition of the LDN. Good article which was copied from the Jackson paper.

Go Cheifs put the beatdown on the ironboy's!

'Schein,
Actually, I just did read that article, about half an hour after I posted. I'm no coach but I know what my eyes tell me. As the article said, Jackson can't let Pat just sit back there and pick them apart. Well, if you have watched Logan football for the last two years, anyone with any sense would come to that conclusion. What I was saying is we know the way to disrupt Logan's offense is to come off the ends with pressure and force Pat to scramble and make quick decisions. Zanesville showed us that last year (although the brought some pressure up the middle, too) and it has been copied by everyone with the ability to bring speed off the ends ever since. Logic would dictate Logan has to change up their offense earlier in games and attack the middle SOMEHOW to reduce that pressure. If you're bringing all the wagons from one direction, you have to leave something else exposed. Logan needs to identify what the defense is giving them and make them pay.

Dazed I was not implying that your post was copied! I like your idea's. In order to beat Logan it will take an outstanding defense with the ability to man up, Physical and speedy LB,S that are able to rush as I use to call bullets from all angles puls also drop backinto coverage as needed. Ends that can finsh the pass rush and lineman that can control the line and put press up the middle and be phyiscal with the QB. That being said Jackson does not have the tools it takes But emotion can be a factor!

No offense taken. I just didn't want you to think I was posting anything not original to me. I'll take my chances with Logan in this game. But looking ahead to Louisville (and yes, I'm not affiliated with the team so I am allowed to look ahead), they will need to find a way to nuetralize Louisville's speed.

Also looking ahead, I am dispointed we can not play with the bullpuppies, but Marion Franklin out of the city league could test us with some speed, but they are not Louisville. Tonite I would lie to see a bit more running maybe bring back the I!

I think Coach Wolfe looks at it as this is what Logan is. A spread offense is what Logan is about but I do think you will see more running tonight if for no other reason than looking out my window and watching it pour down rain. One thing Logan can't do is put the football on the turf for Jackson to have the short field. This is a Tressel day-field position, special teams, and take care of the football. Jeez Louise Noah, is it ever going to quit raining on Fridays!?

Still 2 games to play..the way the bottom of the region is..we could be playing anyone..I'd bet it's going to switch up a little more before come playoffs..so we might not play Marion Franklin.

That rain looks like it blew through really fast. I'll be trying again to listen tonite. Last week a nearby pole snapped and knocked out the electric for 3 hrs. The week before on Fri. nite the area cable/internet system crashed. No big games in my area tonite either so I'm hanging out at home.
Logan has the target on their backs. They are getting every team's best shot every week. The Chieftains must be ready, focused, and play hard.
