good luck to coach Lutz and the tigers. this should be a great game for 2 proud programs love the build up to this game.
ironton has plenty of parking for a high school fb game but there is always a big crowd and for this game it will be a
huge crowd get there early good luck to both teams for a injury free game. my opinion those who say bad things or bash a program
and its community or the people who work at the game is jealous or soar loosers.

I have the utmost respect for both of these tradition rich programs!!!

These are two PUBLIC schools with alot of pride & respect!!!

Our own Coach Boston Sr. is a member of the Coaches Hall of Fame.

Coach Boston Jr. is doing one hell of a job also, with numerous League Championships & Playoff Births.

How many coaches could have this much success (7W & 1L) while starting 7 sophomores this year???

My hat goes off to both of these programs!!!

I think they can and I think they will!!!
I love how all you guys think we are going to lay down and take a nice butt whooping and go home so Lutz can get the record!!!!! Win or loose this will be a close game. NY is not some bottom feeding team or just some panzy to put on the schedule so you can get a win. After the game is over and NY has come away with the win what are you going to say then?? The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes are coming down to WIN!!! They don't care if the game is played in the Tank or in the parking lot, The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes"Expect Victory". Don't take us lightly and don't start looking ahead to the playoffs just yet!!!!!!!!

O& B ,

You are a disgrace to posters on here that make common sense post. For starters, how in the hell do you have time to post all hours of the day and night. Get a life!
You suck up to programs with low class fans and now you get on here start your dumb @#$ comments towards Ironton. Are you a total idiot? Their program is well rooted in a strong winning tradition and they (coaches and players) do thigns with class much like N-Y. Just another downtown coach that makes speculations based from nothing.

I am so glad you think I am a great guy!!! :122245 I am very sorry that I have made you upset! I didn't say anything that was out of line but if you don't like it I am sorry! I have a lot of respect for there program and there history. There are some great people in Ironton and there are some really great posters on here that root for Ironton. The things I said are not offensive or rude. I didn't make anything up. I didn't take anything out of context, so once again I am sorry that my statement(s) have upset you!

If nelsonville york wins this will be a GREAT win for the program. they gotta come out with their heads on straight and really play TOUGH defense to pull it off. the offensive line also has to stick with their blocks. there's NO DOUBT in my mind that the buckeyes can do it if their ready to play. buckeyes really have a chance to shock south eastern ohio on this one :122246

BUCKEYES COME OUT FIRED UP AND GET THE JOB DONE!!!!

AGREED! first of all much respect for both programs for sure! :122245 but now on the fact of coach boston Jr. i would like to say he and the team had every doubt this season, nobody thought that they could win more than 5 games, and also we had many doubts in the league. But the Buckeyes came out and showed everyone that they are forreal and they dont have any down years, we RELOAD rather than REBUILD  also starting more sophmores than seniors :122246 :122246 i wonder when the last year that has been done?? seeing all of these sophmores play, i say that these young sophmores have alot going for them. they are already acting as leaders on the team and they never give up when the team is down. cant wait to see the future

hey folks , this is ole tiger bait. lets everybody take a step back here. no name calling , no arguing. these are both two classy programs , lets act like it. and nobody expects nelsonville york to roll over for the tigers , this will be a very competitive game. lets let em play, be cool. and see what happens. i'll be there a lil after 6. i'd like to meet some of you all. both ny and itown , have tremendouys pasts , and extensive playoff histories, hall of fame coaches, and great crowds. so lets be adults here. this should be an amazing atmosphere in ironton friday night. :122245

I am going to root for Ironton simply because Warren might, MIGHT, have a good chance if they've (I-town) already clinched playoffs, already clinched the wins record. If Ironton were to lose to NY this week, and the wins record is on the line in Vincent next week....i just don't see how Warren can beat them, as improved as Warren is.

G'luck Tigers.
This week. lol.

ok, ironton was lucky to be in the logan game, dropped passes, penalties, fumbles. Several of these things in the red zone...helped ironton stay "close" with logan.
BUT, this is the Nelsonville ironton thread.
im rooting for ironton (just to give logan level 2 points)
but i would love to see nelsonville beat them.
BUT, irontons line is a lot bigger than athens line.
i saw ironton against logan, and nelsonville against athens. after watching both teams, im saying ironton by 4 tds. They are to big and to strong for nelsonville to stop. Arnold wasnt to impressive against athens, so i doubt he reaches 100 yards against ironton

MY OPINION, the only reason the Tigers lost to Logan the last couple of years is they gave Logan FAR TOO MUCH respect! Now, that's my opinion and I know it might upset some Logan people but..that is what I believe to be the truth.
