same score different name.
ironton 50
NY 30 <----2 points for benefit of the doubt.

I must have mised all them Portsmouth fans making them comments?

the Troan fans I know, myself included, knew in order for us to win , we would have to play a mistake fre game, and have a lot of luck.....

back to the game at hand.
best of luck to both theams

Here are a few quotes from your cronies:
Loganphan.."Arnold wasn't too impressive ag inst Athens. Arnold finds out what defense is all about"

Noreply.."Ironton runs all over the Buckeyes"

1987Cheiftain.."To much of a punishing team"

I'm sure Arnold and company reads some of these posts,so for a grownup, I assume, to get on here and talk smack on a kid is unacceptable. Especially from a neighboring community that has NO dog in this fight.

OHHHH. WAIT ONE MINUTE...I'VE GOT IT !!!
Maybe, just maybe, if we hang in this game like Logan barely did, then maybe people will be thinking that we are a Logan caliber team and that my friend would not bode well for them All Mighty CHiefs.

Sorry for getting caught up in this nonsense.

Reach down and grab your Buckeyes, play with all your heart and that Buckeye Pride, and leave the Tank a winner!

GO BUCKS and GO CHIEFS.....

Barely? At least 2 TD's called back, 2 out of 6 re-tries (offsetting penalties) on Ironton 4th down, and 3 total Ironton 1st downs in the 2nd half?
Get over it. It was a muddy mess and both teams fought through the slop.
I think people just see the obvious level of competition v/s scores and have an opinion, which happens to be the prevailing opinion of most outsiders!
Can NY win? YES, is it likely? Not w/o some HEART!
However, I've seen those NY young men play with heart since I was in H.S... Being at the Tank is gonna make it a tall order, too.
My brain says I-town takes it, but my heart says GO NY BUCKS!!!
And as always, health to both teams!

ha ha.
i would love to see nelsonville win,
but , i believe ironton is going to smash them. I

good luck to nelsonville and ironton in the playoffs.
Both teams have a shot at taking the region ! !
i just dont believe nelsonville has a shot at beating ironton.
I'm even biased on nelsonvilles side.

i have to go go with the tigers in this one but it will
be a close one. 34-27 tigers. after watching the trojans
lose to ironton last week i have to say i'm just not that
impressed with ironton. they are a very average team,
probably one of the worst teams defensively they have
had in my 20 years of watching the rivalry.
i once said playing at the tank was intimidating , but last week
was a joke . i could hear the snot running out of my nose it
was so quiet.

Don't you think he'd have enough 'character' to turn it down? Besides that, it would be an insult to him, they give it to just about anyone on the planet that breathes the word peace.

GO TIGERSSSSSS!

Good luck Tigers and Coach Lutz..I hope you guys win and win big!!! NY needs this win to give them a home field advantage in the playoffs so they will be really trying
to win but I believe Ironton will prevail.

Ironton 52 NY 20

Forecast looks worse, now an 80% chance of rain according to weather.com. They say it could rain from 8 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. steady and get over an inch of rain, also said there could be some nasty thunderstorms with plenty of lightning at times, and if you look at the radar you can see it slowly but surely heading strait for us. Could there be a possibility of a saturday night game?

If thats the case then they need to decide as early as they can because NY and it's fans have to travel a long way!

I agree with you 100% orange and brown. the forecast on weather.com also says partly cloudy and a high of 59 on Saturday. I don't see a problem playing this game Saturday at all if that means nice weather. There is no reason to play in horrible conditions when you could move it back one night. I would hate to see Coach Lutz's attempt for the record be a rainy night and keep the crowd away.

These are two PUBLIC schools with alot of pride & respect!!!

Our own Coach Boston Sr. is a member of the Coaches Hall of Fame.

Coach Boston Jr. is doing one hell of a job also, with numerous League Championships & Playoff Births.

How many coaches could have this much success (7W & 1L) while starting 7 sophomores this year???

My hat goes off to both of these programs!!!

...............................GO BUCKEYES

AGREED! first of all much respect for both programs for sure! :122245 but now on the fact of coach boston Jr. i would like to say he and the team had every doubt this season, nobody thought that they could win more than 5 games, and also we had many doubts in the league. But the Buckeyes came out and showed everyone that they are forreal and they dont have any down years, we RELOAD rather than REBUILD  also starting more sophmores than seniors :122246 :122246 i wonder when the last year that has been done?? seeing all of these sophmores play, i say that these young sophmores have alot going for them. they are already acting as leaders on the team and they never give up when the team is down. cant wait to see the future

Hey i wish the coaches at Coal Grove would take some lessons from NY's coaches and put some of their young talent on the field...They have lots of weapons in their arsenal of players and alot of them never get to play!!! The Woods kid #40 runs like a freight train at fullback and very seldom gets a carry. bender #22 is a crazy running tailback and he is also shut down...i think bender gets about 8 yds a carry and they take him out on defense also which is really stupid because he is one of the best at pass coverage in the league and wonder why they are getting beat by the pass. Can someone send them a press release...Its okay to keep fresh legs on the field!!! The other RB's could use a break and then they all would play better!!!

In watching this video, I'm guessing that a NY player recoverd it because it sure did look like a fumble before the goalline was crossed and that extra point was very close to a miss. The ball was kicked so high it was hard to tell if it was in between the uprights.

I have to go with Ironton by three scores.

You must have x-ray vision, as you can see the ball coming loose through an official's body.
