Well, we have gto win it to have any chance of getting back into the playoffs, but it's going to be a long bus ride and I know their rb was putting up huge numbers earlier in the year.
Re: SEOAL (5-3) Portsmouth @ (1-7) Marietta
Marietta has been absolutely decimated by injuries this season. I would have liked to have seen what they could have done had they been healthy during SEOAL play. Because of the injuries, and because Portsmouth is playing pretty well, I think the Trojans will be able to rebound from the loss to Ironton with a win against the Tigers. Hope that Portsmouth can sneak into the playoffs.

Their last 6 opponents have a combined record of 40-7. We really need to be on our A-game, they are most likely pointing to this as a winnable game after the meat grinder they just completed.

Despite the loss to Ironton, there were some positives that came out of that game.........the kids never quit and they put up 28 points on a good defense. I think we have an excellent chance to win if we can tighten up the defense. Offensively the Trojans are playing their best football of the year.
The playoffs are still a real possibility, so we will need to beat Marietta and Western Brown to get in and hope the computer points fall our way.

Looking at the team around the Trojans things look good for a chance at the playoffs. When you look at the remaining schedule for the Trojans and the teams around them they have a good chance. The key is win out by beating a D2 Marietta (1-7), and beating a D2 Western Brown (4-4). If they do this I think they could go as high as a 7 seed. Just keep winning and good things will happen. GO TROJANS!

Can those rankings be right??!!?!?!? I don't understand how Heath got drilled last night and they don't fall back in the rankings at all and Albany Alexander lost to Meigs who has a losing record and Alexander still is ranked in front on Portsmouth. Can someone explain this to me????

I would like to say that I was really impressed with the way Portsmouth played last night. They were about 1 defensive stand away from making that game with the Tigers very interesting. I think that Portsmouth has a great chance to win out now. Regardless of the playoffs 7-3 would be a great year as opposed to 1-9 from just a year ago. So, good luck to Portsmouth the rest of the way. It was a little disturbing though to see two main Portsmouth players get into it with each other right before halftime last night. I won't mention any names because I am sure others on here know what I'm talking about. It was really confusing though because I have no idea what they were upset with each other for. But, who knows. I guess it's all part of the game. Hope Portsmouth can win out. Good luck!!

Many comments could be made, here. But staying close to point. Marietta is at home and will play well in front of the home crowd. Portsmouth players will need to watch their mouths in this end of the state as local refs will ring them up in a hurry. Portsmouth however will come out with a win and I hope they can make a playoff run, a Warren win over Chilli will help their cause.
No insult meant to the Tigers they are wounded all up and down the line-up, not their fault. I hope they can prove me real wrong. GoooTigerrrrrs.

phs 34-20, if there is a coach of year award for the 2nd half Coach C should be mentioned. How many teams would have quit after the Burg game and the Jackson heartbreaker, PHS got better! Congrats to Curt and the staff and the boy's desire!!

The Trojans took a huge jump last week when they beat Div II (6-0) Warren. The Marietta game will be important for level 1 points but Western Brown, a Division II school, with at least 4 wins should be a great boost if we can win out. Good Luck Trojans. One at a time. It would help if West and Western Brown both won this week.
