WKKJ reported 14-6 Warren in the fourth, but that was a while ago

Nope...you've got it. The final was 22-6 with the Warriors moving to 7-2 on the year.

Congrats to Chilli, hope you win next week to get some momentum for next year.

Warren...one muddy game!

Ditto from the shores on Veto lake. Very slippery and wet out there tonite. Both teams had a hard time getting any footing, and it started to look like OT with the score at 0-0. But, the football gods helped Warren pull one out. Good luck to Chilli next week.

thank goodness for special teams tonight...the warriors scored two tds on special teams...the first was a bobbled snap by venham and he picked it up and ran 65 yards to the endzone after getting a HUGE block from dustin harlow...the second td also came off a punt but this time Venham kicked a beautiful spiral that would have been downed at about the one yard line but the chilli player tried to pick it up after it stopped on the one and he fumbled it into the endzone and the warriors recovered...Venham also had to punt out of his own endzone and booted a 65 (plus or minus a few yards) punt...but the drive of the game came in the third quarter that took 19 plays and 9 minutes for ellenwood to find wolfe on a short pass in the flats for warrens second td...the first half was a little ugly but the warriors bounced back and ended up pretty strong...one more week to go...
PRAY HARD...WORK HARD...TRUST GOD...
...one...

In case anyone cares...Warren received the opening kickoff of the second half, thought the ball was going into the endzone and didn't pick it up until it died on the 1 yard line, picked it up, and ran it out to the 10. They then went on a 9 min 19 play drive for 90 yds. to score! That has got to be one of the longest drives in warren football history.

Well thanks for the update. I thought it would be a pretty competitive JV game. But I think I heard that the Warren JV QB may have hurt his ankle?

Good Luck to the Warriors this week!

#3 Andrew Vincent wasn't dressed either

7072 wrote::) Henthorne is a Soph. And will get plenty of time in the next two years. Freshman Miller (Miller should inherit the field goal/extra point kicking)and Barrows will also be pushing for playing time in the backfield next year. The big ? is Leffingwell and how well he can hold up. He is pretty brittle and gets hurt easioly, he has been out with a ankle for almost a month. But the prospect from the freshman class is good I know I have missed several, the spohomore class has stepped up this year in key spots, Joey Lane, Brain Hendrix, don't forget Harlow and Fivecoait. So Warren will be hard to handle next year for anyone on their schedule.
Have been told that their is several 8th graders that have shown promise. Things are looking a beautiful BLUE in Vincent.

I disagree that Leffingwell is brittle and gets hurt easily. I've watched him play football and basketball. He is RARELY injured. He's tough. He's healing from a break and he will come back and continue to play tough. I do agree with you that things look good for years ahead. The kids coming up are the kids who have benefited from our youth football program. We can thank the insight of Dave Ellenwood and Paul Davis for developing that program! The current 8th grade and freshman were undefeated as a JH team. It should be good. Leffingwell is an accurate QB and let's not forget Hilverding! You'll have receivers Venham, Vincent and all the others you mentioned. Great things are coming our way!
