Huge night for Alexander...
1.)They must WIN, and should WIN...
2.)They should really be supportin' their Buckeyes Gear...
3.)Never overlook an opponent...

Alexander is in control, as they have the better team this year. They can dictate how this game will be, if it will be close or if it will be a wide margin...
For Play-Offs, Alexander is hoping that NY can beat Ironton to help push them into the Top 8 (currently 9) which is awesome after their heartbreaking loss last week...
Always, never underestimate the opponent. Anything can happen, turnovers, injuries (hope not for both teams), but little things like this can be huge...

Go luck to Alexander in trying to make the Play-Offs...

Sorry in advance but our stunning upset in Glouster will hurt AS's chances to get to the playoffs. Then to pour salt on their wounds, we will throttle the Eggles next week too. So prolly no chance of Sparty making it, but we prolly will so you can come and cheer us on.

Orange and Brown, Seems like we have someone that doesn't know how to win with class when they do win and before. By the way they spell, I would say Jr High level wouldn't you? You are right, after Friday they prolly will dissappear like the spring peepers(frogs) Eggles eat frogs don't they?

Good Luck to the Vikings. You can go out there and just have fun and finish the year off strong

Congrats to Alex. It is great to see you all doing well. Pulling for your chances of making the playoffs :122245

Vinton County has turned the corner and is riding high after a win last week. Alexander is recovering from a loss last week that probably eliminated them from the playoffs (unless they win out and get help).

Expect a very wet and muddy field Friday night, which favors Vinton County.

I pick the Alexander Spartans in a home win.

Good luck to both teams. See you at the game.

The rain is coming and this field will be a mess for the next two games. This is a scary game for Alex. VC is big and run that wishbone and it is made for conditions like they will have on friday night. VC will be ready as will Alex. This game could easily go either way.

Sparty has had a muddy game on this field before in that the best team didn't win. Will history repeat? We will have to wait and see.

Just my thoughts guys!

Im not so sure if a muddy field will help VC...The Meigs game was muddy and the Vikings didnt seem to take advantage of it at all. The Vikings will be able to grind it out with some players back from injury but i dont know if they will have enough for the Spartans. I think VC has to force some Alex turnovers to have a chance...the mud could help in that aspect...but VC will have a wet ball to carry too...so we will see!! Good luck Vikings!!!

for starters in regards to the muddy field, say a terrible team plays an amazing team one friday night on a muddy field. the terrible wins. obviously people are going to say that the better team lost. it makes more sense to say that the team who played harder and wanted more won, therefore the BETTER team won that night. the point is it will come down to who plays the best that particular night.

playoff wise for "sparty" the loss to meigs did NOT kill their playoff dreams. as someone previously stated they are number 9 (eight teams get in). also as someone stated a win for the buckeyes would make ironton a 3 loss team, which would open up the playoff door for the spartans. obviously they need to win out.

prediction: spartans by 21.

GO SPARTANS

Good luck to the Vikings tonight...im hopin for an upset in Albany.. As for Alexanders playoff chances...if the Spartans beat the Vikes tonight, i think everyone from VC will be hoping they get in...But..with Alex 9th in the points and games against 1-win VC and (if Meigs beats Wellston) 2-win Wellston...i think Alex will be just short. Even if Wellston beats Meigs, and Alex takes care of them in week 10...with 3 wins over 1-win VC, 0-win Belpre and most likely 4-win Meigs...i just dont think they wil get enough points to make the top 8. Good luck to Albany though...they have had an amazing season and shoud be very proud!!

Going to be another Wet Friday Night Football. It has become the norm over the last few weeks. Good luck for both teams in staying injury free. It is nice to see Alex having a great season no matter if they get into the playoffs or not. I root for you 9 weeks out of the season, but have to go with the Vikings tonight.

Vikings, you have had to face a lot of injuries over the season, but you have hung in there. I am proud of all of you, am looking forward to seeing you go out on a high note. Pulling for you all the way tonight.

Alex really needed Nelsonville York to upset Ironton for playoff reasons, but Lutz wasn't going to lose at home for the record tonight.
I would say that officially eliminates Alex , but who knows.
