I'm not gonna get into the mud slinging, so Congrats to the Falcons.

Great effort by Valley, way to keep playing tonight. You had some really bad breaks tonight, especially late... Pretty terrible call and very poorly handled. I wish the outgoing Sr.'s the best of luck in their upcoming sports and I hope the young guys use tonight to motivate them towards something that was so close to being theirs.

I will say that I'm really really floored at the way the end of the game was handled by the officials. WOW!

Ray Bryan comes out with the ball, ref made the wrong call and then corrected it.
Alot of class in purple on the Minford fence yelling at the crew with their kids. Great season Falcons you are THE SOC II CHAMPS.

The ref signaled first down as though Valley ball and said RED BALL. He just signaled the wrong way. Even after it was sorted out correctly Valley coach says "I Knew we didnt get it but I had to try". I was 4 feet from him when he said it. So relax Valley fans, you played a good game and didnt get cheated.
Valley's coach was very professional after the game, nice to see.

Great job Falcons!

Oh Minford High, Oh Minford High,
To gain the best for Minford High!
We'll always shout, we'll always sing,
Our praises of her to make ring.
We'll always strive to reach the top,
And we'll never, ever stop.
So come on team, team, team,
Get on the beam, beam, beam,
And fight, fight, fight,
For a victory.
M-I-N-F-O-R-D!!
Minford will win--Yes!

I know that the Valley fans couldn't hear, but the ref said that he made a mistake. He pointed the wrong way. We could hear it on the Minford side.

My hats off to the Valley team, they showed alot of heart tonight. They could have quit at half time, but they didn't. They will be the team to watch next year.

I gained alot of respect for Coach Crabtree tonight, he really got the best out of his team. Congrat's to the whole staff.

Way to go Falcons, you did what you had to, to win. I am so proud, and so is everybody in Minford!!!!

Proud to be a Falcon!!! The SOC II Champs!!!! :122246 :122249

Heck of a game, Congrats Falcons. Valley is a good team and will be for a few years with all the talent coming back. Go Red, carry it into the playoffs.

Well, I disagree with the Minford version of what happend tonight. The call wasn't changed right away... the call was changed after the crew walked out to spot the ball. Valley had their offense on the field and was getting ready to play ball when the call was changed. I was about 6 feet away and the John Webb had the ball and IMO had possession. It was a great game, and Minford is good team. I can't believe they beat Burg, but by God they did and now they have the gold ball. Valley was an equal on the field tonight that would win 5 out of 10 games against that Minford team. Great game to watch, but the end of the game was handled worse than any crew could think about. And BTW, there wasn't much PAIN tonight as a very young Valley team showed that they were as good as the best the SOC II had to offer.

Minford was up 21-0 at half and played Tressel ball the second and scored when they had to, thus putting it out of reach. If they opened up their offense it would have been 41-7. Give me a break!!!

So that's why their QB was looking at the Ref for the 5 second call when he started his snap count on his first posession at the start of the 3rd???

Great job of managing the clock and not showing any scouts too much by Coach Daniels and Crew. They were up big and got conservative in the 2nd half, scored when they had to and won the game, bottom line. Jim Tressel rules!!

41-7 My arse!

Minford had 2 offensive series that resulted in points and 1 was due to a great play by a Minford WR taking the ball away from Bukie... They had a great dive late to make in 28-14, but Minford was able to turn Valley miscues into points.

And after looking at your post for a 2nd time, I can see that you're joking or maybe totally lost in space. I'm not saying Minford didn't deserve to win, but the Indians spotted them a great 1st half lead... And is Tressel ball throwing deep in a 7 point game on 2nd down? Minford was on the ropes, but they responded when they had to. But Valley showed the fight I expect from a Coach Crabtree team! Minford was totally out coached and I would have love to see Valley score and go for 2 and make Minford make a stop. The Indians didn't always execute (very young), but the staff knew the Falcons weakness.

The game was in hand at the half as Minford totally dominated the first half of play. They probably got too conservative but IMO they could have came out and opened it up and went up by 30. Momentum can change that fast in high school football and you cant let up for even a series.
