Re: Valley @ Burg updates
Valley has had some decent yards, but Burg is doing better, just stalling out after a few good plays on most of their drives.

Burg doesnt have a rushing TD. they have a pass TD and a pick 6 TD.
That's true. I forgot that. Thanks.
Re: Valley @ Burg updates
Its a classic head coaching problem... if you pass it and complete it for 30-40 yards you are a genius, but if its incomplete and you give up points you aren't thinking clearly... hindsight is 20/20

that is true, but in the weather @ Burg deep in your own territory tied at 7, and getting the ball....run the clock.
Re: Valley @ Burg updates
You take a shot but you dont try chuckin it 3 straight downs against wb at wb in the rain/wet conditions tied up just before half. Coop even posted run it down before it was posted what Valley had done.

Sounds like Valley has some defensive future with sophomores Yates and Roe getting in on a lot of stops.

The Burg lost the Minford game because of the same thing. Ball at their own 15 yard line and less than 2 minutes to go Lang throws an INT that Valley coverts into a FG and Burg only leads 9-3 at the half instead of 9-0 that it should have been if they run out the clock. Those 3 points decided the game. If everything else in that game goes exactly as it did in the 2nd half and Minford doesn't get the 3 before the half the Burg wins that game 15-13 instead of losing 16-15. Burg should have never been passing that deep in their own territory with less than 2 minutes left and the fact that they got the ball to start the 2nd half. If they run out the clock they probably win that game.

Exactly. I know Valley is down 14-7; but i feel good about where they are. Last week the Indians were down 17-7 with 6 minutes to go in the game and won. We'll see how this plays out, the the kids in purple will play until the clock hits :00!
