You have to have at least 5 olineman, and Pendleton is sixth man, that means you go 5 wide. Or you keep a TE in for extra blocking. 4 wide. Two corners, 2 safeties cover the 5 wide in a zone. That means West puts 5 or 6 lineman against Burgs 5 Dlineman and 2 LBs. Interesting. Leaves alot on Wests Oline to block and keep out Burgs dline. I know one thing. If frowine is plaing NG then West will have to block him with 2-3 guys. That leaves alot of gaps for Lang and Hall to keep pendleton in check. If it were anyother year, the wildcat would work somewhat! But frowine will be pushing the gut way too much for pendleton to rely on the run between the tackles. And if he goes outside, I think we have 2 of the best DEs around. He wont get much. And to waste Murphy on the field for the wildcat would be horrific. He is a good back. Now, If Pendleton can throw, thats another matter!

I was there, Mauk threw all over the defense. They spread the oline out and he was able to use alot of field to throw the ball from a huge pocket. But he had the arm to do it. Dont see that but every ten yrs or so.

I think Murphy may be the one getting the snap , from what I am hearing.

Wildcat snapping ot Murphy? You think they would snap it to Pentleton and let Murohy lead block? I think you saw the number backward Big stick. Pentleton will take the snap and yes he can throw. You see tonight, West will win tonight before during and after the game. ha

Jungle Cat,

Please don't get me wrong but I think that is the element of surprise the Siders are going for. The snap to Murphy with the option of handing it to Pendleton or keeping himself will work as well. I think I am hearing some wildcat cries in Scioto County this morning.

Think we can come up with a cooler name than Wildcat? How about the Wild-Sider. Minford Momma may vote for the raging-thug?

I went back and looked at her post last night, where she said "Freshmen or so called freshmen". Yes it is a freshmen team. When you loose or get clobbered, loose with class. Making jesters on the behavior of freshman kids, maybe you should take some of your own lessons?

It is all fun and game now, but tonight you will see the "WILDCAT" and yes it will work to perfection. You are right Big Stick that would be another twist to the "WILDCAT" with Murphy. I think that was run at Morehead State when Parkes played there. Coach T loves it from what I hear, but you see the T formation with powers and leads as well. It is going to be fun watching this tonight. It may be the first time Scioto County teams have run this. Big Stick meet in at the concession stand end along the fence behind the Goal Post. I owe you a slice of Pizza and a coke. Go Sider win it on the field.

I think this will be fairly close for the first half, then the Burg will pull away.
Burg wins 28-7

Hey Jungle Cat, You actually owe me two slices but one will do for now  Coach Parkes does know a thing or two about the wildcat :122249

Coach T will still come out with the power plays , but look for some wildcat as well. I heard something about pulling out all the stops tonight :-D

Maybe the formation should be called the " WILDSIDER"

Also I would be willing to bet the WildSider offensive will work, and the Burg will have trouble defending it? 8) What your take on the game tonight? :122248

A brand new offensive set, unrehearsed and unveiled in week 10? The only thing marvel about this is it belongs in the comics.
