That response on how things are done at Coal Grove shows that this team does not deserve to make the playoffs. Lucas was a HOF coach before on the field and now he is just a HOF coach for his past. Coal Grove has athletes to compete now if their respect and team work come together they might have a special team. Quality coaches and quality players on and off the field make GREAT TEAMS.
Good luck Fairland get the ball to Boomer early and often. You can even start giving him the ball today.

Actually I think it says the opposite about this group of kids..They are loaded with talent and their record speaks for itself and i'm sure they will let the dragons feel the hornet thunder! My hat is off to this hornet team and they have lots of community support as well...football is at its best at the grove.

So do you approve of players using profanity at teachers during a game. I have watched this team all year and have seen things like this from a few "key" players", I will support my team but I do not support the ones that are acting like this, and like I have said on another thread, they could be suspended from this game friday night and I wouldn't care a bit.

Absolutely not, those few "key players" are not the whole team and the majority of these kids are not using profanity at the teachers. It is the first that I had heard on this subject. What other thread?

lets get ready for fri got to have a win. practice hard play harder.
everyone on your side is there for you to win. wearing the black and white should mean something have pride treat the band as your team they are playing for you the people screaming are for you.
walk out of the locker room quiet and no one makes a noise untill you get on the field and run to your side. you guys have a great record and you know it. in sports there shouldnt be any room for that stupid stuff like cursing, chewing, or screaming at your own players or fans you are stronger as one.
it hasnt always been this way and shouldnt now . when we played you knew better than do the things that has happened from coaches.principle, and more than anything parents. it looks bad on a team but worse on you and family. coaches parents take control .
now lets get ready to play football!!!!!!

I see us coming out throwing the ball early and often, fairland will be ready for the ground attack so I could see us going to the air early and taking them out of their defensive gameplan.

Idk y you all would come out passing when the only strength of our D is our pass D.
Our db's are very good against the pass..
Our run D well.. I'm sure u know lol
but I think we can score alot of points in this game..
But it just depends on of our d can make a few stops..
And Bloomfield MUST get the ball often..
But the coaches are complete dipsh*ts and should be still coaching peewee football.

As far as Boomer touching the ball he has gotten it far more than anyone else!I just added up his total stats from maxpreps which was updated yesterday,They are as follows:

Rushing-96 carries 699 yards 11 TD's

Recieving-12 catches 438 yards 5TD's

TOTALS- 108 touches 1137 yards and 16 TD's!

This of course does not include kickoff and punt returns which would be minimal because no one ever kicks it to him!

Oh and Fuzz Impressive work with compiling the scores for the entire series! ;-)

IMO, this is the biggest game for Coal Grove in quite a long time. So much is riding on the line: the playoffs, the first outright OVC title since 1994, and the first 9-win regular season since the 1990 State Semi-Finalist team.
This game will determine if this Coal Grove team continues on to the playoffs to possibly make a great run of it's own or if the season ends in stinging disappointment.
Coming into the season, we all knew Coal Grove was very capable of a potential playoff run. We all knew they should win the OVC outright. We all knew they had the talent needed to make this a season to remember. So far, they haven't disappointed. They've shown what they're capable of. They've shown flashes of greatness. But nothing they've accomplished so far will mean anything if they're upset friday. Friday will be the difference between regional contenders and merely another commonplace co-championship.
This is where the men are separated from the boys.

Lets Go Grove! Bring it on home!

I feel so comforted that jl724 has all the answers. Maybe you should be making all the coaching decisions. The coaches will do what is necessary to give the kids a chance to be successful. Just support the program and stop being so negative all the time, it does nothing but make you look foolish. Go out to Coal Grove on Friday and support the kids to the best of your ability.

A Fairland win would give them their first outright conference title since 1993 - the best season in Fairland's football history, according to many.

Actually it would be a tie for the Dragons for the conference title! But a loss by Bishop Hartley and a Fairland win then we would probably be heading to Amanda to play the Aces!

Earp do you think 12 touches a game is enough for a kid who avg a td every 7 touches? If Matt played on any other team he would of had had the majority of the snaps. IMO he has been under used all year. But back to the game FHS has to have a quick start and not get down early or they will hang their heads and the Grove will steam roll us. I really hate that Tyler Duty will probably not get to play his last game. I have really enjoyed watch him play over the last few years. A kid his size must have no fear and a big set of gohans to play . I still remember him hitting that kid in a scrimmage a few years ago.

Since you're talking stats here ya go:
Oakie Haynes- 123 for 731 yards
Doug Dillon 147 for 963
Keith Wetzel 118 for 699
Pete Hintz 97 for 487
Pendleton 151 for 1414
Bloomfield 96 for 699

Good Luck Dragons I hope tonight was not your last practice and I hope Duty gets another shot to play!

by all means please make the grove use their outside game...
srry but in my opinion i dnt see fairland stopping their inside game..and it really wouldnt be wise to keep them outside considering woods and haynes are ur tailbacks..i hope ur not the coach lol...honestly i dnt see this game bn close at all and not just bc i am a coal grove fan but simply bc i think they are a way better team..and i am not saying fairland is a bad football team at all..

cg 35
fairland 18

and on the comment on hoping im not the coach i have probably played more football than you have ever have in your whole life and when u can step up to me let me know and we will settle it

Well. . . we've all kept it fairly classy all week and now it appears that we're finally on the verge of the proverbial p***ing contest on the eve of battle.
