And yes, Valley you have had some good teams also. But back when you went 10 and 0 every year, you couldn't even get enough points to make the playoffs.
Now, let's clear this up a little. When Valley went 10-0 four straight seasons, they made the playoffs every season and only the 1999 season was a year of 8 playoff teams. So Valley was in the top 4 every year during that run.
Jesco White remembers and knows more about this than I, so he might need to clear some of this up. The year they didn't make it at 10-0 (1992) took a shady forfeit/cancellation from a Columbus team to knock Valley out of the playoffs. This was prior to the current system.
The Indians also went to the playoffs in 2005 with a 9-1 record, which was good enough for a home playoff game. Notre Dame, Green, and from time to time Oak Hill and East took a nose dive during the early part of the last decade and this was coincided with Valley moving to SOC II. And Valley's had as much playoff success as anyone not named West in the last 12 years, with 2 regional final appearances. So what's that have to do with tonight's game? Not a darn thing! Let's enjoy a good ballgame tonight, and not get to nuts after tonights game... Even though I'm sure emotions will be running high.
