Only transfer on that team is Howell. He came in Jr. High. Cunninghams family moved in 2 years ago from maetwan wva when his dad was named head football coach.
Re: Gallia Academy
he only has a younger sister. his mom graduated from gahs and is an aid at Washington elementary and for some reason he goes to fairland.svac83 wrote:I don't think the howell kid transferred for athletics but his sister was a gallia academy graduate.
Re: Gallia Academy
I could be wrong but isn't Torrey Howell his sister or step sister?.. And I think they moved when she started to go to Marshall..

Re: Gallia Academy
After a decade of struggling on the hardwood, things are looking much better for the Blue Devils. GAHS came into the "Home of the Trojans" and came away with a 48-43 win, ending a 14 game winning streak against them by PHS. From what I take of their starting 5 and their roster, Gallia Academy should be a really good team in 2017-2018. The defensive havoc that Loveday caused my Trojans was a difference maker, and he will make a much larger contribution offensively next season. Fairland will be the favorite for the OVC title again in 2017-2018, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Blue Devils make a serious challenge to the Dragons.
GAHS is a good team this year, but next year could take that step to being one of the SE's district's Elite 8.......maybe posting a record in the neighborhood of 17-5 or so.

Big win by the Blue Devils tonight. They used to spit the bit in these kinds of games. This team grows in confidence every time out.
I am always complaining so i want to give a couple of compliments out tonight. first i dont know if it was just that the separator was down between the two gym's tonight or what. But man whatever they did to improve the acoustics tonight they need to have every home game. It is probably loudest i have heard the new Gym.
Secondly it seems the Blue devil fans are beginning to catch on to the fact that they can be a factor into the game. Parents and the people that set on there hands every game was into the game tonight. Thanks for supporting your team.
Blue Devils shot the ball horrible tonight, Got banged around got beat up. But found a way to win. You cant ask fr much more.

More than likely will be in the 4/5 game at Southeastern with a chance to win one game and reach the Convo this year. That's a big step forward for the Blue Devil program! Congrats to them on the great year so far.

Has he grown 2+ inches since scrimmage season? He was 6'9ish then.danicalifornia wrote:Paint Valley's Dylan Swingle, who is currently a junior.bighead wrote:Who was the last 7 footer in SE Ohio ? Still little grow time there ! Plus maybe little help transfer in ! Could make a big time run!
Skeens from Southeastern last one I can think of

Skaggs is the most recent from Southeastern Before that was Kevin Netter of SE/Adena (who was a legit 7'0)Ironman92 wrote:Has he grown 2+ inches since scrimmage season? Swingle's listed height changes between 6'9 and 6'11, depending on the recruiting site.
