I love how on every forum on the vikings the only name you hear is Tibbs!
Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
i am very excited to watch the vikings this year..From what i heard they have tibbs and johnson which are explosive jumpers who are able to rip the rim down. with some great shooters
Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
I dont think we need to be thinking about one player....Tibbs is good but i hope to see him get more aggressive...i look for the vikings to win the Soc and do good in post season....im excited to see how fuller does in his opening game...the taylor boy had a great year last year i look for him to be even better this year!!

Let's hope the Vikings become about "team" and not just one or two players. A good player who wants to win will be about the "team" and not about themselves. I'm sure that the young men you are referring to in the posts above will come out this year and help win some games as a "team". Go Vikings!!!
Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
Good post sailorguy i agree....i hope to see the vikings come together as a TEAM this year and play some great ball!!!

Heck of a shot yeah 4,000 or more making 1,000 pretty good shot he was!!!
Get a Coach SV ...You had a great one For symmes v(AL)lley. This is not Junior High Girls BB..Did he not coach JH Girls....(1) year??
Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
The Vikings are loaded this year. Twelve deep. Many talented juniors. I wish the boys much success. Have fun, enjoy the game. Good luck Jeremy as first year coach.
Alvin had a great run at SV. I will always remember the 01 team and what they accomplished with Alvin as their first year coach. Lots of great memories.
See everyone at the games, Go Vikes!

Is this true. IS Fuller's only coaching experience junior high girls?
Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
Why don't you move on to something else besides coaching experience? Everyone starts somewhere.
I am more interested in how the starters are chosen. Will it be on stats and hustle from the week before a game. I personally think this is how it should be. When a team has a set starting five, those five tend to get complacent and suffer from enlarged craniums. The rest tend to sometimes give up and settle for being a sub. If it is based on performance from the week before,(game plus practices) then it evens the playing field so that all have something to prove and strive for. This makes for a much more balanced team. Just my opinion now! I want all the boys to do good, but I want to watch the ones who really want to play and show it in their hustle and attitudes.

Not my thread Popcorn. I just read the statement someone else made. If the statement is true about Fuller's experience, then it had to have been an inside job to have gotten rid of Carpenter. I doubt the AD was watching a junior high girls game and thought....we need that guy to head up the Vikings next year? that doesn't make any sense?
I agree with you popcorn though it is water under the bridge. Everyone has to start somewhere and what is done is done.
Good luck Vikings (except against the Eagles)

Re: Symmes Valley VIKINGS (09-10)
It usually is an inside job but whatever. I agree that the starter positions should be to the ones who hustle their butts off and show they want it, EVERYWEEK. Players should not take it for granted that the starting position is theirs each week. It should be earned each week.
Good luck vikings.
Good luck vikings.
