I love how on every forum on the vikings the only name you hear is Tibbs!

Let's hope the Vikings become about "team" and not just one or two players. A good player who wants to win will be about the "team" and not about themselves. I'm sure that the young men you are referring to in the posts above will come out this year and help win some games as a "team". Go Vikings!!!

The Vikings are loaded this year. Twelve deep. Many talented juniors. I wish the boys much success. Have fun, enjoy the game. Good luck Jeremy as first year coach.
Alvin had a great run at SV. I will always remember the 01 team and what they accomplished with Alvin as their first year coach. Lots of great memories.

See everyone at the games, Go Vikes! :aaaaa26

Is this true. IS Fuller's only coaching experience junior high girls?

Why don't you move on to something else besides coaching experience? Everyone starts somewhere.
I am more interested in how the starters are chosen. Will it be on stats and hustle from the week before a game. I personally think this is how it should be. When a team has a set starting five, those five tend to get complacent and suffer from enlarged craniums. The rest tend to sometimes give up and settle for being a sub. If it is based on performance from the week before,(game plus practices) then it evens the playing field so that all have something to prove and strive for. This makes for a much more balanced team. Just my opinion now! I want all the boys to do good, but I want to watch the ones who really want to play and show it in their hustle and attitudes.

Not my thread Popcorn. I just read the statement someone else made. If the statement is true about Fuller's experience, then it had to have been an inside job to have gotten rid of Carpenter. I doubt the AD was watching a junior high girls game and thought....we need that guy to head up the Vikings next year? that doesn't make any sense?

I agree with you popcorn though it is water under the bridge. Everyone has to start somewhere and what is done is done.

Good luck Vikings (except against the Eagles)

It usually is an inside job but whatever. I agree that the starter positions should be to the ones who hustle their butts off and show they want it, EVERYWEEK. Players should not take it for granted that the starting position is theirs each week. It should be earned each week.

Good luck vikings.
