Re: Week 10 Player of the Week Nominations
Nate Allison.... Need I say more?
but as a credit to him, our staff and our entire group of kids, who not once gave up, or quit. They worked there tails of the entire game no matter what the score. And Nate Allison was the poster child of all this hard work. His determination on the field Friday night was incredible to say the least. there was not 1 instance where the young man was tackled at point of contact usually 2 to 3 more yards were gained after hit and usually many more. Twisting and turning, fighting for every extra yard Someone needs to count the amount of broken tackles he created last night as well.
The last time I had seen a performance like that was in 1995 the stat line went something like this:
Tim Biakabutuka 37carries 313yards 8.5avg and that performance against Ohio State ranks as the second highest single-game performance in U-M history.

I think you gotta go with Allison. 349 yds is just plain uncommon.

Josh Myers, Portsmouth QB : 12 Carries for 96 yards and 11 of 12 Passing for 220 yards with 5 Td's in a 50-15 victory over Western Brown.
Over 1,000 yards rushing and passing for the year.
Over 1,000 yards rushing and passing for the year.
Re: Week 10 Player of the Week Nominations
Josh Myers great game and hard to do the 1000 in both rushing and passing. Should be favorite for POY next year in the SEOAL.

Josh Myers-Portsmouth Trojans-Great game last night in only 3 quarters of play. An even greater season with over 1000 yards rushing and passing.
Re: Week 10 Player of the Week Nominations
Tyler Craigmiles from Wheelersburg 173 yards on 15 carries 4 TD
Re: Week 10 Player of the Week Nominations
Great game by the RB from Gallipolis..... if he gets Player of the Week then the Marietta Defense should get a share of it as well
Just kidding of course.... congrats to Allison from Gallipolis

Allison had 10.53 yds a carry, Craigmiles had 11.53 yds a carry. Both had 4 tds. Craigmiles against portsmouth West, not marietta.

He broke the old record of 334 yds set by Ty Simmons in 2002 against Warren Local!

Did Coach Eddy decide not to hand out the fleur de lis helmet stickers? I understand why a lot of coaches choose not to hand out award stickers, but I always thought you all had some of the coolest ones. The fleur de lis is a great nod to Gallipolis' french heritage and I think they looked pretty cool on your helmets.
With that said.....
I'd vote ALLISON, not doubt. Great effort by he and hist teammates. Great way to end a disapointing (in record only) season.
