Well I see I'm late for the party, but the gang has covered my position well. "Schedules" isn't a "game". There are people sitting home now that could have made the playoffs had they scheduled better. Far too many run from competition when they should embrace it.

I believe Logan is better prepared for the playoffs than CW and schedule is one reason why . Many SEOAL schools were still in the running for the playoffs in the 9th & 10th weeks. Clearly Warren was much better this year. Jackson , while having a good team, has a bad schedule. Ironton isn't what they used to be, but for their division, aren't bad. 9-1 Zanesville is in its first year out of the SEOAL. IMO, the SEOAL is a better league than the MSL. Its better as you compare division to divison schools, SEOAL vs MSL. Just as the SEOAL had weak sisters like Chilly & Gallia this year, the MSL also had its weak sisters. You can't argue with records & overall winning, the SEOAL was just better.Non- league, our schedule would have buried CW. Thats why you don't play Lancaster & Pick( either one of them).

Just as I believe that Logan is way better than CW. IMO, its a bad mismatch and could have an embarrassing score. But I intend to get cozy in front of the TV Friday nite and watch the fireworks, lol. This is a game in which the coach will leave the starters in to get them razor sharpe for better competition coming up. The score may get out of hand, but there are bigger fish to fry and everyone here is "supposed" to be good. If you can't "hang", blame yourself or your "schedule" !!

I think Logan has to be the favorite.
I can't get the SEOAL's .241 winning percentage against the MSL out of my mind.
You can talk schedules.
You can talk past years winning percentages.
They don't really matter.
What we think/predict don't really matter.
Friday night matters.

Thanks for the stats. Very interesting.
The W/L percentage I was referring to was SEOAL vs MSL in the playoffs.

Not looking ahead..just kind of curious..if both Logan and Brookhaven should happen to win..where do you think the game would be played? Would that one possibly be at Zanesville with it being about an hour away from each school? Or is there a better option in between Logan and Columbus?

You. What do you mean you? Not from Canal or anywhere close to there.

If you think what you did or how you played in your first two games has any effect on how well you are playing now, then your even more irrational than I thought. Yes, it might give you a better resume, and it definitely improves your chances on making the playoffs, but to say that those performances in the first two have an effect on how well you are playing now, I am not buying it. I believe Logan will win (and possibly by a decent margin) because they are very good, but the first two games of the year won't have anything to do with it at this point in the year.

I know... I know... you have forgotten more football than any of us know. We have heard it all before.

Believe what you want , guru ( or is it goofy?). Those difficult games set the stage each year for a competitive level that Logan must play at if they are to win those games. No doubt, the league is an easy time for them by comparasion. But to play cupcakes wouldn't prep the team for the league and could cause a false sense of accomplishment. Then , you get caught in a game that for whatever reason-- a good team, an off nite, penalties, bad weather, etc and you don't have that high level of competition to win that crucial league game.

CW is a good team but has not played a schedule as tough as Logan. Thats why I believe , that all things being equal ( and they are certainly not), LOGAN HAS THE MORE TESTED players and will cruise to a big win. If they hadn't had the difficult early tests, I'd be worried that a bad nite, penalties, or an off nite could catch Logan against a decent CW team and get edged out. There is a talent gap and Logan has stretched it out with a very tough schedule ( and yes, they can't all be tough games). The "experts" who rank teams seem to think they are pretty good against very good competition. So, you do it your way & Logan will do it their way.

BTW, that is the major difference between North & South FB. Northern teams seek out tough schedules to prep them for the playoffs. Southern teams tend to lighten the schedule just to MAKE the playoffs ( and often with disasterous results if they get in).Logan has done the right thing with their players. You, of course, are a "guru" and so you must have another answer since thats "wrong" and a waste of time for this time of year. And , yes, its true -- I have forgot alot !!

Logan wins this one but I can't imagine them going much further. Without Angle they appear to be a very average team. Besides being QB, he is also their best runner and best defensive player. Hope he stays healthy!

Are you nuts? This team is loaded with talent. Angle isn't the team. Besides..Angle is playing the game! So they aren't without him anyways. I remember hearing the same thing all over the place up here when L'Ville's Swigert went down.."OH NO! They lost #2! Their season is over now!" Well guess what...they still finished 10-0 without him. And Logan has just as much..if not more talent than that team.
