D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
Although Oak Hill doesn't have football playoff experience, Slone, Hale and Ondera all started for the state championship basketball team. These kids have played in pressure games before.
You can't have anymore pressure than a double OT win in a state championship game. I'm pretty sure the coaching staff will be fine.

No offense, but comparing Ohio playoff basketball to Ohio playoff football is like comparing night and day, playoff football is a whole other beast.

there are enough pressure on these kids tonight will bring more cg hasnt been since 96 so this will be knew to these kids oaks 1st in football but 2overtime win in bb is awsome and lots of pressure. i think both wil be nervey and at first might be some nervous play but time the second quarter we should see some solid football. i think both teams will be fine hope the hornets pull a win out . goodluck to both teams

Come on Grove, lets get out to the game tonight and cheer our Hornets, lets make our side so loud that it takes the whole home field advantage out of the equation.

Why is that? Playing in front of over 15,000 people in the Schott for a state championship is alot of pressure period I don't care what the sport is.

Yea, but you dont get hit in the mouth in basketball. Besides thats the kids the coaching staff is the football staff not basketball. They dont have the big game experience like Coach Lucas.
This should be a great game. If the Hornets do the little things right like hold on to the ball and do their assigments I believe they will win. I think the last few weeks playing soft teams will have hurt the Oaks.

Without a doubt this is the biggest game in Oak Hill football history and I can't wait! I haven't felt this excited/nervous since the basketball State Championship game!!

Will this game be broadcast on the radio and if so, what station?

Yes, it will be broadcast on 96.7. Buzz Fisher will be giving the play-by-play and I'm sure Randy Heath will jump on the wagon and give his 2 cents....
