When do find out where the Oaks play next week?
From geography alone, Athens looks like a possibility maybe even Marietta. Both fields have turf.

Athens does not have turf unless you mean OU but not sure about a div V game there. Nelsonville York has turf and I believe stadium is similar to OH.

buckfan84,
When I said Athens I was referring to OU's Peden Stadium, sorry I wasn't even thinking about any other field in Athens.

Not negative just factual, he is maybe the third best back we faced this year, he has ok speed and a little size to him, but like I said the third best back Coal Grove has seen, if you haven't been to our games then you can't judge that observation.

I put this on the thread for next week, I really hope there is more to that offense, because a team like Coldwater who you would probably meet in the state semis would eat your runners up, and be able to defend the pass while doing it, just an observation from what I saw tonight.

Great playoff atmosphere and a big win for the Oaks. CG played hard it just wasn't their night.
Great win for OH. They need to get ready for next week because Ridgewood sounds like the real deal.
2trap come on now your posts sounds as if your a sore loser. Give credit where credit is due.

Like I said, UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TO COAL GROVE GAMES, then you can't judge that observation, I will give an example, if in my mind the best back we say, Rashard Carter from Greenup County, would have had the wholes you line was opening, he would have easily ran for 400 yards against us, Hale has ok speed, and good size, that will make him pretty good down in southern ohio, but he is (and I know Oak Hill fans won't like this) just a typical back for the nothern teams, they will take him down easily unless like I said in the post before yours, you have parts of that offense you didn't show tonight.

Also, I don't want Oak Hill fans to think that they saw the best of Coal Grove football, when your starting quarterback goes out it takes it out of the offense, look at your team as an example, of Sloan were to go down it would take a lot out of your offensive playbook.
Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
Oak hill is in for a tough one next week, they haven't seen a back like conrad he is the real deal. Ridgewood probably has more team speed then burg imo. Good luck to them though and congrats on tonights game. Congrats to the cg seniors on a good seaso!

Are you kidding me? Coldwater? State Semis? Thanks for the info. I'll start worrying about! They have two win two more games that we would have to win first! Maybe that is what happened to Coal Grove tonight. They were worried about beating Coldwater. They should have worried about beating Oak Hill because that was not a very good performance. Not trying to degrade the team, but I have to think that they played better throughout the year than that.

A poor offensive performance without their starting quarterback, I will admit that part, but all I am saying is Oak Hill's offense is typical for the rest of the state so whoever it is will be ready for it, Ridgewood will be ready for it next week, it's typical passing offense that the rest of the state uses, southern Ohio is mainly a running game, so Oak Hill's offense is something special and hard to defend, but the rest of the state uses a lot of spread so defenses are acustom to seeing it, you will see more cover 2 and probably nickel defense starting next week, I used Coldwater as an example of the rest of the state.

Let them play nickel and watch Hale impress you next week. Im not predicting an OH win just that they will be ready to play.
