Final statistics for the Tri-Valley Conference

Post by 93Bulldog »

The entire leaderboard is completed - it should be uploaded on trivalleyconference.com sometime Tuesday morning.

This week - I plan on attempting to call all the coaches to varify stats and correct any need be.
(2) ... I will start on a seperate "LEAGUE ONLY" leaderboard which should be done late this week; it will give some folks an idea of how well a player performed during the league competition.
(3) ... By this weekend, or possibly early next week since I have to head to Amanda for the Spartans playoff game Saturday, I plan on putting together a "FUTURE" leaders of the TVC type of board/blog ... it will consist of all the underclassmen and their stats from this year. It should be pretty cool cause I'm going to include players that weren't always in the top 10 this year (along with the ones who were.)

Sneak Peak at the final 2009 TVC leaderboard:

No. 1 offense (entire TVC): Trimble ... 3,582 total yds (292 pts scored)

No. 1 scoring offense: Athens ... 350 pts scored

No. 1 scoring defense: Athens ... 80 pts given up all year.

No. 1 defense: Athens ... 1,641 yds rendered.

No. 1 rushing offense: Alexander ... 457 carries -for- 2,727 yds (36 rushing TD's)

No. 1 passing offense: Athens ... 1,379 yds (19 TD's)

Individual rushing leader: Tyler Dyla (Trimble) ... 207-for-1,730 yds (15 TD's) 8.4 - Y.P.C
* Dyla finished with 1,879 total yards and 18 touchdowns.

Individual passing leader: Trey Harris (Athens) ... 98-177-3-1380 Yds (19 TD's)

Passing leader (Hocking only): Brendan Torrence (Fed Hock) ... 115-218-11-1331 Yds

Individual recieving leader: Mike Johnson (Eastern) ... 41 rec 655 Yds 10 TD's

Side Notes:

Derek Arnold finished (2nd) in rushing ... 1,536 Yds (19 TD's) 6.5 - Y.P.C

Jeremy Smith (3rd) in rushing ... 1,459 Yds (26 TD's) 7.0 - Y.P.C
* Smith 1,716 total yards and 27 touchdowns.

Jake Hedrick (4th) (Alexander) in rushing ... 1,181 (9 TD's) ... Jake was the only other 1,000 yard rusher in the TVC.

Jake Reynolds (Miller) surprisingly finished 2nd in rushing (TVC Hocking only) with 877 Yds.

Cody Lawson (Alexander) finished 5th overall rushing 963 Yds and (15 TD's) ... Which gave Alexander two of the top five rushers in the TVC.

Jacob Well - QB - Meigs (Was one of only four 1,000 yard passers)
Brayden Pratt - QB - Eastern (Was the fourth to finish over 1,000 with Harris, Torrence and Well)

Recieving:

Mike Johnson (Eastern) was No. 1
Dwayne Clark (Fed Hock) was 2nd ... 40 rec.- 543 yds.
Kyle Matteson (Wellston) was 3rd and 1st in the Ohio only ... 24 rec.-487 yds.
Richard Drake (Trimble) was 4th .... 442 yds
Caleb Davis (Meigs) was 5th ... 422 yds

* I thought it was quite interesting that TREY HARRIS was the No. 1 quarterback, but Athens didn't have a player amongst the top 5 in recieving ... Also, they finished No. 1 in scoring offense but didn't have any of the top rushers.

To see how good Trey Harris really is, the numbers the junior signal caller put up tell the story:

Athens recievers:

Ian Dixon (3rd in the Ohio) - 375 yds and 4 TD's
Shad McCollum (4th-Ohio) - 314 yds and 4 TD's
Frank Valentour (7th-Ohio) - 274 yds and 4 TD's
Conner Tope (9th-Ohio) - 253 yds and 4 TD's

* Now that is balance, four different targets - 4 TD's each and they all had 250 or more yds recieving.
* He completed 55% of his passes with 177 attempts (98 completitions)
* Throwing the ball 177 times over 10 weeks he was picked off only 3 times (2 against NY and one against Wahama)

ALL THESE STATS CAN BE SEEN ON TRIVALLEYCONFERENCE.COM ... HOPEFULLY THE LEADERBOARD WILL BE UPLOADED TUESDAY 11-3-09

Ah, now that wasn't very cool heavy D ... Nobody expected the N.Y. Giants to beat the Patriots in the super bowl a couple of years ago either but they did.

As far as the FINAL TVC stats .... they are being uploaded now (Wednesday).

I am kind of busy working on Alexander and its stuff for this weeks game so I may not have the TVC league info up until Sunday .... but I did have to E-mail someone the league statrs for Arnold, Smith and Harris ....

Derek Arnold (six league games stats)

145 carries for 919 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Jeremy Smith (league stats)

119 carries for 780 yards and 15 touchdowns.
* 8 rec. for 88 yards and 1 touchdown.

Trey Harris (league stats)

52-of-96-for-800 yards. 10 touchdowns with 2 intercpetions.
*54% completion percentage.
* 50 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns.

The leaderboard is updated through week 10 ... I know the front page does not appear updated because were getting ready to transform into 'Hoops' mode ... but the football leaderboard will be a seperate page that will stay up all year.
