Didn't the announcer say "That's probably the best thing that could happen to the Burg, they didn'nt score and they can kill some clock now". Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe not.

I have never watched such a great final drive end up like that. Why didnt they just run the qb sneak??

The conservative play calling caught up with the Burg. I thought they were going to bury the Freddies the second half. I dont know why Burg didnt try to spread the field out to use their speed. They just kept running it up the gut from the wishbone.

Sounds like shades of last year's semifinal loss to Liberty Union.

GREAT SEASON PIRATES!

The unfortunate thing is, that young man had one heck of a year and is an absolute stud on the football field, yet he will dwell on this fumble. Great game played on both sides. Congrats to the Burg on a great season.

I'm in shock and I can only imagine how the Burg faithful feel. Tough loss for the Pirates. That last drive sure shows how much fortunes can turn in this game. Keep your heads boys, you played a great game.

Craigmiles was out the second half injured so the coach didn't have a whole lot of dimension...

Sounds like it was a fantastic game by two great teams. Too bad either had to lose.
Congratulations to WB on a great season. Good luck the rest of the way FT.

Absolutely! I agree with you 100% pappy.

Congrats to the Pirates on a great year, just too bad that things did not work out. Just goes to show you that FB, especially in the post season, is one play away..........

I know....but after 3 series with no sucess you have to try to spread it back out. Shank and Lang arent slow.....

Anywho, good season Burg. Keep your heads up.

I agree. Perhaps they could trade him for your coach.... who was more than likely watching basketball practice at your school this evening.

sems to me Burgs coach called the right plays to put his team in position win the game....if they would have scored , we wouldnt be talking about the coach.

Burg got robbed on the goal line at the end!! I had a great view and that young man had the ball across the goal line before it came out!
