So, can I just take 93/32 towards Athens then get on 33 W right to the stadium? Would that be the quickest route? Also, will there not be enough seating on the visitor side? Should we probably get there 1 - 1 1/2 hours early, right?

Burg has to play there on Friday night, so we too got the shaft as well as the Freddies. Why play this game in the middle of nowhere when it could easily have been played in the Columbus area and both the Burg and Fredtown drive on good 4 lane highways the entire trip. Instead all the fans have to drive across Gods country right in the peak of the deer running wild in these areas.

The OHSAA never ceases to amaze me.

Tigers90 -

Do you know where Heath is? Jackson is twice the drive for Heath as Nelsonville.

Heath to Nelsonville: 1 hr, 7 minutes, 56 miles

Heath to Jackson: 1 hr, 57 minutes, 103 miles

Ironton to Nelsonville: 1 hr, 56 minutes, 94 miles

Ironton to Jackson: 1 hr, 2 minutes, 43 miles

Neither location is "Fair."

OU would have been the "most fair" but I guess they didn't want to host any games.

Take 33w into Nelsonville. Turn right at the BP station go over the hill about 2 miles the stadium will be on the left cant miss it.

91Buckeye, What is the home seating like? I was there last year and sat on the visitor side, but i really didnt pay much attention to the home side.

I have another question. Would it be quicker to take 33 W around OU or 682 through the Plains then get on 33W?

The home side seats 1500 visitors 1000. Plenty of room to watch from the deck and I would guess that NY will bring in stands. As far as Nelsonville being in the middle of nowhere, last I checked we had a major atery (Rt 33) running right through it. Not sure which way is quicker but we are 15 minutes south of Logan.

What a shame that we can't play at our old home away from home...Ohio University...I remember before they started giving the top four home games..in the first week...how we would always get the shaft and play at Athens....now I guess they didn't feel we had enough of a drive..so they had to punish us a little more..

not only are we traveling twice as far a the 2 seed , but what really worries me, is the availability to find good seats , without having to be there by noon. you know the nelsonville fans will attend as we have a great atmosphere with them, but logan plays on friday, and we are both in the seoal. we may well catch a big chunk of their fans. i don't want to have to stand in line 4/5 hours to get a seat. but i'll be there.

THANKS FOR THE FAVOR OHSAA PRESIDENT DAN ROSS, FROM PORTSMOUTH. LOOK AT A MAP SOMETIME.

For once in his life, Bait has a good point there...never thought about catching all the Logan fans at the game as well..hmmmmmm it could be hugely crowded!

You're kidding. The home side only seats 1500? I don't know if I'll bother making the trip if I'll end up standing.

I wonder if we can get this changed? then again...OHSAA figures if you make 'em drive far enough, you won't have to worry about the number of seats they need?

I'm not angry, I'm just not going to waste a trip if we can't find a seat, especially with my mom going with me to the game. No way she can stand the whole time. I've never been to Nelsonville's stadium so I don't know what it's like.
