NY has approximately 2500 seats on the home side and 1000 seats on the visitor side. We do have portable bleachers that will accomodate the bands and possibly some spectators. There is at least an additional 500 good standing spots available along the fence as well.

Heath picked up there pre-sale tickets and other information today. Here's the pre-sale schedule for the Heath folks --

Tickets will be on sale beginning Tuesday morning at 7:30am, and will sell all week during the hours of 7:30am-3:00pm, and will also be on sale on Thursday evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Pre-sale tickets are $7.00, however if you wait until Saturday to buy them at Nelsonville you will have to pay $9.00.

Ironton will be picking up their pre-sale tickets tomorrow and will be announcing the pre-sale schedule soon.

Good luck to both teams.

Theres 5 pages and probably only 5 posts about the game itself the rest is complaining about where we are playing. We are Ironton we dont care if we have to drive to Canada to play in the parking lot of a motel 6. Just put the ball down and lets play.
Anyway I think the line will be the deciding factor in this game. Plus we take care of the ball we will win.

Well said. Who cares where we play. There are tons of teams who would give their left testicle to still be playing.

I agree that a great deal of the teams would still like to be in the play-offs, we are talking about the fans and being able to sit down. There are great number of fans that cannot wait outside the stadium to get a seat for 2 hours. The weather and the age is a big factor for all fans attending this second round play-off game. I feel this entire end of the state should "WRITE THE STATE AND ASK THEM FOR THEIR THOUGHT PROCESS BEHIND THEIR DECSIONS.

Just a thought!!!!!

GOOD LUCK Itown, I know you can take this team down.

Nelsonville,TRUST ME bring in some more seats Itown will fill all the home side and vistor side.

My guess is they made it farther for Itown so not as many would come watch, but Itown travel well in the playoffs

Look at this game as basically a home game for the tigers considering they have played there recently(last year) and won.

If they are like advertised...Ironton will win by at least 21..game films show many weaknesses...I believe it should be another game which the 2nd string gets some work...but it will be later than this past week...but game should be over early 4th quarter...

Make sure you leave early...if you don't get there by noon...you will be standing...

I was hoping to hear some insights on the actual game, but all I see is a bunch of whining about the location... What's done is done. No use crying over it behind your screen names when no one of importance (OHSSA) takes this site too seriously.

I hope that the Ironton team has the same mentality as some of you fans thinking you are going to come in and steamroll us. I like being the underDOGS. These boys have played against much better teams than your this years Ironton team (Licking Valley 2007, 2008, 2009). We have not beaten any of those teams, but not many people can claim to have done so. Heath also is no stranger to the big stage, in 2007 Heath won two boys state championships on the same day (baseball and track). Heath knows how to win on the big stage, and hopefully they will come out and do it. They are just now forming an identity for football, and will probably be no where near Ironton ever, but good thing tradition doesn't give them the win.

BTW, how many state titles does Ironton have?

Id be there.. gotigersgo!!!get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball. Ya better hurry and get a seat too... Prove the Nelsonville bleachers and the Heath Dogs the Tigers fans are ferocious as the team...MARCH ON!!!!

If you are talking football, they have two; 1979 and 1989.

Ok this is 2009 not 2008 or 2007 and Ironton isnt Licking Valley. I doubt Heath has played the teams the caliber we have played this year. Baseball and Track state dont compare to football state playoofs. You see those big stages are easy to handle because your arent getting knocked on your back every play. As for tradition it might not give you the win, but it does give you the edge because you know what is expected of you so you go out and do it so you can continue that tradition.
As for all this talk the Tigers know this is just talk. The coaches will have them in the right mindset for this game.
