It's veteran's day and there is no school for us college kids. nuthin better to do than give an opinion on the old Ironton Fighting Tigers. Tigers 27- heath 14. once a Tiger always a Tiger.

They are saying that Ironton is favored to win by 14...84% chance...

Also saying that CC is favored by 3 to win over Coshocton...58% chance

I say...Ironton wins by 21

Coshocton wins by 14

I know Ironton has some big boys up front but Heath's Dylan Wethey will hold his own at the LT position. This kid is 6'1, 270 lbs and I think whoever goes up against him will be amazed by his strength....just watch him this Saturday. Gresham, who will be the fastest kid on the field runs behind Wethey and just needs a small opening to get to the second level. If Gresham gets the corner he will run forever. I know you guys will not believe me....but I think after this weekend...win or lose, the Tigers will have a new respect for the Bulldogs.

cats fan, i'm not showing any disrespect, i know how tough the competition gets the farther you go. tres wilks might have a thing or 2 to say about who's fastest on the field. but thats why they play the game. i just hope it's a great time , and injury free.

I am sure that Ironton fans and especially the coaches and players...all respect heath for making it to the second round of the playoffs...I think they must have a very good team to get to this point...just that comparing them to the teams that Ironton has faced and beaten this year...they look to be...at least in my eyes a 21 point underdog...I believe that strange things can and do happen...so until the game is played there is no winner...however...I feel that if Ironton doesn't have any major mistakes or injuries...It's Ironton's game to win or lose...

ie...I feel that Portsmouth...at 7-3 would have beaten Amanda by at least 14 this year after watching both of them play within two weeks of each other...does that say that Amanda is a bad team..no...but not a great team...Portsmouth was better...however..they didn't make it in...Burg would have beaten CC too...however...that is why we play the games...sometimes matchups don't work out the way the seem...

i remember a sandusky perkins team that lined up across from the tigers in 1999. never been to the playoffs before . and won a state title. i'm proud of the fighting tigers win , or lose. and nothing really suprises me anymore. especially after the loss to ashland, but we are playing football right now as good as i've ever seen us click. so if someone takes it from us, they'll have earned my respect. :-D

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really excited for this game. Us Heath fans are usually focusing on basketball/wrestling this time of year and its great to see us playing in week 12. Beating a team of Ironton's stature would do wonders for the football program. I don't know who will win, because I have never seen Ironton play, but I am just hoping to see a good, clean game (which I'm sure we will have).

Good luck Bulldogs! Don't back down! Remember, Dogs>Cats! :122245

That is one thing for sure...Ironton doesn't ever play dirty...and they don't play into it either...they just play smash mouth football... That is what you are ready to see this weekend....Ironton will really be attacking the ball...and when we run the ball they don't tip toe....I have heard about Heath's backs...Ironton has a hand full of backs and have seen only two that compare to any of them...that being Arnold from NY and Ashland, KY's back...also have to say CC's back was really good too...before the injury...but I wouldn't say any of them are better than any of our backs...they are good, hard nosed, quick runners...

Didn't you also say AC would not beat NY ("without their big back")...Didn't Alexander take NY 21-0...didn't AC take Alexander 42-14. Care to re-think that one?, or do you only recall (guesses) that are favorable to you?

Anything can happen...I heard that game was played in a downpour and buckets were coming down all night...that every time they would step..they would sink four to six inches in the ground....and that NY had four turnovers in the redzone...not an excuse...Alexander had a good night...NY must not have...match ups can make a difference...I also didn't say that Alexander would beat CC...I do however believe that a good team...with a good defense and decent offense does...Here comes Coshocton...if they are what people are saying...CC better get their Chuck Taylors out

I'd be stunned if Coshocton beat Amanda-CC, I surely would.

Are any of those backs getting looks at the next level? I know Charles Gresham has been getting looks from Cincinnati, Kansas, Michigan, Georgia, West Virginia. They have him listed as a Wide Receiver, which was his position all the way up to this season. But I think the switch has worked out pretty well (well over 2000 total yards in 8.5 games)

I understand now.....Alexander must have been playing on the dry side of the field.....
I hope your wrong again this week.

Yes, ccfan, Alexander did beat NY. Alexander got beat by Athens. NY beat Athens. I guess that theory goes out the backdoor! ;-)

tigger90, you really are afraid of the Aces. you can't post without saying something. you've gone to three sights with your story hoping you can convince yourself. you drove two and a half hours with your team playing somewhere to see the Aces. Ironton you guys have a real winner here.

:12224 ...Kentucky...I think you know I have been around football a long time...I did watch CC a couple of weeks ago...I really do look for the so called upset...I don't know for sure if Coshocton is good enough to beat them only because I haven't seen them...Ironton from what I have seen is at least 21 point better...on a normal night...but things do happen...rain changes things...snow...mud...but on a neutral field...Ironton would pound CC...However...this is about Heath and Ironton...and hopefully We can play our game and win this week...and if CC is fortunate enough to get to face us...we will see then...can't wait to see it...I know when someone from outside a community comes in and watches a team and finds that they aren't what they have been billed...it usually makes those people from there upset...however...I found the fans to be great people...down to earth....loved the atmosphere...really liked the hill where people put their fishin' chairs out and watched the game...the grillin' and the Fries....really tasty...however...other than three players...four including the back who is now injured...they have a weaker team from what I have seen this season watching the tigers...and by the way...CC is only an hour and a half from Ironton...hour and 45 minutes if you drive slow...and I wouldn't down Amanda...actually I have always said that they are a good ballteam..just not a great one like some of their fans seem to think...I have family from their and have always rooted for them...just after watching them..we were really disappointed by what we saw...on the way up we were thinking we would see a team that would dominate the region..after watching..we didn't think they would make it out of the second round...I am still feeling that way...sorry...
