I'll be there and I'm bringing a convoy with me. I'm excited for the run that this team can make. We have to get through this tough Heath team. I personally know someone that went to school at Heath, so let's just say that there has been a little trash talking between me and her all this week. Look for a great game and another Fighting Tigers W.
GO TIGERS!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!

acespop wrote:tigger90, you really are afraid of the Aces. you can't post without saying something. you've gone to three sights with your story hoping you can convince yourself. you drove two and a half hours with your team playing somewhere to see the Aces. Ironton you guys have a real winner here.
acespop.........you have it figured out. I am not sure it is total fear, you may want to throw a little ignorance in there for good measure.

This is as it should be, a poster who respects his opponent and backs his team at the same time.

Yes...and Bait knows that I respect other teams...I also respect other fans that are respectable...Pappy...you don't fall into that category...All I did was give an opinion of what I saw when we watched the Aces...and I have family that live in Amanda and root for Amanda...who are Fans of Amanda...and they agreed with me on what we pointed out when we were at the game...it's just people like you that can't overlook the fact that you think you are right and can't understand that there is football outside of Amanda...Ironton won't have an easy game this week like they did last week...however..I believe if they don't make a lot of mistakes..they should win this game..I really don't think Amanda is a great team..however...I believe they are a good team...with or without their hurt back...I too hope that Heath is healthy...it only makes you better when you play the best...and that is what Ironton does...that is why Coach Lutz has the record....
Re: D4 - R15: (3) Heath vs. (2) Ironton @ Nelsonville York
TIGERS90......I am not from Amanda.
Amanda has never been my 'team'.
I have seen them play many times starting in the 60's.
I watched coach Hinton build their program to what it is today.
I have rooted for their opponent most of the games that I have seen them play.
I respect their program.
I respect Ironton's program.
You have never seen a post by me that belittles either of those programs, nor their opponents.
My grandson plays in the SEOAL.
My sons played in the MSL.

Tiger Bait..... Most Heath fans are just not as fanatical has most H.S's, especially those with a great tradition. Heath has only been around since 1965 because of the USAF building a base there. At the beginning, Heath students attended Newark City schools so you don't have the long history that some of the schools in rural areas. If you needed smack talking opponent you'd need a team like NC or LV where you have generations of families that live and die in that community. I wish Heath fans would be more vocal but for the most part they are a tranquil bunch. If the games was in the hands of crowd noise it would be Ironton with a billion points and Heath would have zilch.
And I never attended Heath or have I ever had a son play football there. I just live there now.

I worked many years in Newark.
Heath always had my respect.
In the old LCL they were a team that would occasionally knock off NC.
They were not intimidated by NC even in the days of NC domination.
I do not know if that mentality is still there, but it is something to consider.

Nice Post...
I think it's more than tradition that they are going up against this year though...Ironton is for real this year...not only will they have to contain our backs and quarterback...they will somehow have to find a way to score...and that isn't going to be an easy task...Go Tigers

Nice article Heathdog and I agree with one thing, lots of tradition with respect to both teams and this looks like a real contest tomorrow nite. I dont know a lot about Heath but from what I am reading they sound like a solid football team as are the Tigers. Sounds like each team is very respectful of the other and both have the talented players that will represent their respective schools and fans accordingly. Heath has played some top notch competition this year and they will face another foe with a lot of talent and desire tomorrow nite. Good luck to both teams and safe travel for all, looks like the weather will cooperate with game time temps in the upper 50s.

Nice article.
The keys for Ironton to win #1 Hold on to the football. #2 Make sure the right team shows up. First one is self explanatory. The second one has been Irontons problem a few times in the playoffs. Take last year against New Lex. That team that showed up that night looked like they had never played ball before. Every now and then that ghost Ironton team shows up and we get beat. The real Ironton team has to show up for 4 quarters for us to win on Saturday Night.

Re: D4 - R15: (3) Heath vs. (2) Ironton @ Nelsonville York
Number one goal for Heath is that they have to play mistake free ball. Against a team like Ironton, there is little to no room for error. Heath won't be able to score every possession like they have recently, but I think that their offense will do well enough to win, but the defense has to show up for all 4 quarters. Even though it looks like Ironton is one dimensional (all rushing), it looks as if you can't really pinpoint one player to stop for Ironton which is definitely to the Tigers' advantage.
Good luck to both teams, and I hope whoever wins this game goes on to win the region. And once you are out of the region, anything can happen.
