Much better performance for the Falcons tonight. Still some issues here and there, but the desire was back tonight. The changes made by Daniels and staff really seemed to work wonders tonight. It was very good for the Falcons to finish out the non-conference part of the schedule on a high note like this. Hopefully they can carry this momentum into next week. This part of the season is over. SOC II play starts next week so the Falcons need to kick it up a notch and bring it a little more from here on out.

On a side note, Fairchild from Oak Hill is an absolute player. He was impressive on both sides of the ball for the oaks tonight. Very good size and moves well too. Also seemed to be a good leader for the team. He has some potential to play at the next level I think.

Good win for Minford. Nice to see them putting some points on the board. Might be a while before Oaks can compete again with the SOC II. Minford will have a very tough game next Friday at West. Hopefully a strong week of practice, keep those young kids in the game and playing hard and be ready for the Siders.

The posts sure make it read like a rivalry game. Minford has a well coached team and earned the win. Congrats.

Oaks again had to many game changing breakdowns. Could have gone in at half only down 1 score but gave up a half ending score and went in down 20 to 6. Could have stay in the game with a 2nd half opening drive but had a turnover and gave up another easy score going down 27 to 6.

Minford dominated line play on offense. #75 played great game at center. Looks like the real deal. Running back had good vision and make a lot of nice cuts going through the hole.

Oaks moved the ball when they were executing but killed several of their own drives with miscues.

#21 is a physical player with a lot of upside. Needs to improve technique on defense. Plays with a lot of emotion. Didn't see anything that would make me label him a punk. He does give as good as he gets. Overall I thought it was a physcial but cleanly played game.

I don't know what bigmama's problem is with me. I have no idea who he/she is at all, but they always seem to be giving me a hard time.

Calling a high school kid a punk is uncalled for on here or anywhere else for that matter. You calling me a punk tells me a lot about your demeanor and lack of any class.

I've never clashed all that much with burg grad. Sure we disagree one week a year. Most of the time he has some good points. Whether or not someone thinks a kid from another team is a punk is not the point, the point is sometimes you have to keep your opinions to yourself. I wouldn't appreciate someone saying that about a kid from Minford even if they were right.
