overtime... ironton fumbled on scoring drive. heath misses field goal with minutes left... iroton wins toss ... heath has ball first via ironton choice, ironton awaits to see what they do.. heath goes for no gain, first ot play.ironton sacks heath q back for four yard loss.. 3rd down.. ,,,,,,heath q back hands off to back who throws lateral for endzone socre as ironton interecpts. Ironton takes over and jaunts into endzone for twenty yd run for victory...it was wetzel who galloped into endzone for victory. my heart is coming out my ears.. and also hurts for heath..awesome team......gotigersgo!!!get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball, get the ball... I strongly feel these were the best two teams in the region...AMAZING.... of course anything can happen, but if coshocton holds on... i town and coshocton are the top two... amazing, how such small/huge mistakes gives you the victory.. also ... interested why tres wilks, our amazing run, zap, jumped ya, socred on ya, was rotated out a lot after half time, with no call of injury..yay tigers..

Heath also fumbled on Ironton's 12 yard line on a scoring drive just prior to that. They also stopped Ironton's 4th down bid late in the game and deep in Heath's territory (which was a bad call from Ironton... that late in the game, they shoulda gone for the field goal instead) and Heath took the ball the length of the field only to miss a field goal when the ball was on Ironton's 10 yard line.
Heath gave this game away but neither team played well enough to deserve the state championship IMO.

Amanda misses a 36ydr. to tie with 2+ in game. Looked like money going through the air, just missed to the right.
AC D did an excellent job, especially in the 2nd half, not having that power O hurt us in the end.
Congrats to Coshocton. You all have a strong team and after the outcome of the Ironton/Heath game would expect you all to be reg 15 champs.
I was shocked that Ironton was not able to put up more than 2 tds against Heath defense which is by no means their strongpoint.
Should be a good one. I'll be there.

I don't think Fredericktown or Wheelersburg was playing for a state championship last night either there "Iron_town 2006" but one of "your boys" felt the need to post the following after that game. I didn't see you say anything to him about it. Perhaps you need to clean your own house 1st.

actually Burg was on the three inch line, had three more chances to score with less than a minute. Burg decided torun for td.one more time, after completing two long bombs to keep them in the game, got greedy and fumbled. they have a consistient. 40 yd fiield goal kicker too.. the freddies got the ball with less than thirty seconds left....burgs only hope was a safety with the ball at the inch line, and frreds got two yards and took a knee. ..Neither played consistient enough to wear the div five crown...

Don't worry about this post, he's a big time Ironton hater.

Going on what I have heard of Coshocton...I will go with Coshocton 28...CC 14

Either Coshocton wasn't as good as what most people are saying or CC played better tonight than I had expected...either way...I was right on who won this one...Now it's our turn...Go Tigers..

First off I never saw that post by him "TheMalteseFalcon" i had no idea you were referring back to that comment. Second of all just because were both from Ironton and/or Ironton supporters doesnt make him one of my "boys," theres alot of comments made by ppl from or that support Ironton on here that i dont agree with. One thing i do know is that everyone from Ironton that i know of always supports all area teams in the playoffs regardless.

No, he isn't. He likes Ironton. But some of you boys just insult other teams and coaches at will and it is just good old conversation and you think nothing of it because you're so "superior" , but when it comes back to you almost verbatim, it is from a hater. If there are "Ironton Haters" it's because of people like you.
You know that some people know some of your little "secrets" and you can't handle it.

Well, here it is (again).... and you know it now, there "Irontown_2006" so why don't you go call out the originator of the insults rather than the one who copied it and sent it back......

The only part of the Coshocton offense that hurt Amanda Clearcreek were the trick plays. A great kickoff return to start the game for Coshocton set up the first opening drive score for them, after that it was lights out until they hit on a double pass ( backward latteral ) late in the fourth quarter.

They found a way to win, that is what winners do.
