You never let the game get away from you, and gave yourself a chance to win. Can't ask for more than that. Be proud of what you did this year, I know the town of Ironton is !!!

Tough game, but, surely an entertaining one again this week! We are proud of you and wish nothing but the best to the outgoing seniors! Thanks for a great season full of memories, especially giving Coach Lutz the MOST wins in the state of OHIO. You will always hold that distinction!

you know paladin - you are a real jack...

why dont you go back to jj with all the other losers....

i would like to see ohsaa put y.ursiline in the same region with coldwater - that would be closer than ironton-coshocton.. but no - they want to GURANTEE that the NE DISTRICT is well represented - you know what i mean

Same score as last week just reversed in Coshocton's favor. Great game and atmosphere. Kettering Alter beat Clinton-Massie this evening 34-7. I believe the semi-final will be played @ Hamilton Township's field where Logan played two weeks ago. Prediction: Kettering Alter 35 - Coshocton 7.

My comment was a statement of fact -- there are now NO SEO teams left in the play-offs. No one made it out of the Regional and for the most part the SE regional in most divisions was the one of the weakest in the state.

The comment about Ytown Ursuline being closer to Coldwater than Itown to Coshocton was laughable. Pull out a map. Educate yourself. Don't feel sorry because you think you are down in the sticks ( well, of course you are) but there are other wide stretches between lots of teams in Ohio. Save your pity party.

22 miles difference. 255 miles from Youngstown to Coldwater. 233 miles from Ironton to Coshocton.

I.M.O. both teams tried to give this one away with Ironton doing so.

The Tigers I believe put the ball on the ground five times counting the pitch that went out of bounds in O.T. They also had a pick on what was a horrible pass where the QB was trying to make something happen.

Twice late in the game it looked like Ironton had 4th and less than one on their own side of the field and elected to punt with one punt being blocked.

I really thought as did most of the fams setting near me Ironton would go for it being the Redskins had a hard time stopping the run right up the gut.

It looked like 37 got in the endzone on that 4th and goal play. I think the Tigers ran to their right side five or six times in a row. On the fourt down play I really thought they would have gone to the left behind the left guard and tackle. The Skins had the right side defended really well.

Was there anyone close to that side of the goal that had a close look to that play?

Nice season Tigers take a day off and those who are not playing other sports should be ready to hit the weights.

Congrats Ironton on a great season... My first time seeing the Tigers play...great tradition, a very solid team, and a heck of a following.
Coshocton...great game, you toughed it out with one of the best, now go all the way.

Tigers90....last week you predicted Coshocton over Amanda by 21. This week you "went out on a limb" and said Ironton 35 Coshocton 14...did you really think Coshocton was that bad because they couldn't pumble lowely ole Amanda? After all Amanda would probably only rank about "8th or 9th toughest on Irontons schedule"...."I have no doubt you felt Amanda could make a good run, but beating up on your little local teams in the regular season isn't going to get you very far when you get into the playoffs and see some real competition"...does that sound like anyone you know Tigers??...Let me tell ya pal, After watching this game tonight, I don't even have to see the stats to know that AC put up more yds. and allowed less against the Skins than your Tigers.....go figure.
Enjoy your basketball season...if you don't choke on all that crow first

What does it really matter about sticks?

Paladin boosts up logan so much u would think they were suburb of Columbus! Squashing on every team in SEO but the Cheifs. They went out in the same rd as the Burg, the Oaks, Lesser than the TIGERS. HAHA!

Congratulations on your season tigers. No matter what anyone says you were the last one standing in SEO. Because some posters make unfortunate posts on SEOP, it should not reflect on the young men on the Ironton roster or their accomplishments.

But Logan got eliminated first, didn't they? I'm sorry for Ironton's loss tonight, but very, very glad Ironton is now back OUT of the SEOAL.
CONGRATS TO THE IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS [please note the correct spelling of our team name] on a great season!

I very rarely ever agree with anything Paladin says..let alone stick up for him..but all the guys said was "Then there were none." I don't think he was trying to belittle anyone with that. He just stated that now there isn't any of the S'Eastern schools left. Ironton was our last hope..and they lost. I don't think it matters what team went out FIRST. Neither team won a Regional Championship..so it really don't matter IMO. But I'm not trying to turn this into ANOTHER Ironton vs Logan thread. Both teams had great seasons. Neither team has anything to be ashamed of. The season is over for both teams..both teams came home empty handed. That's a fact. That's really all there is to say about it. Does it suck? Hell yes..for both teams. But it happened. That's all there is to it.

Two more deer ran out in front of us tonight between Athens and Jackson. Not as close as last week but still? it's nuts! I thought, if I had to drive that stretch again next week, I would have brought at least one, maybe two pistols of mine and fought back! :122246
