I'm proud as I can be of my son for what he did on the field for the past three years. I'm sure there are parents in Ironton who feel the same way. When you hug your kid coming off the field after a job well done, nothing ANYONE says can take away from that. Tigers, chin up. The pain will ease in a while and what you will remember will be all the good memories and the knowledge you did something great with your time on the field. Whether you wear the Tigers uniform or the Logan spear, it was a great year, not just for you but for all the players on all the teams. you were a part of something great....Ohio High School Football!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good post Dazed...I totally agree...those boys....and I will say ALL that play the game that I have seen this year...along with the rest of the state...all give everything they have to win...and they care about doing their best whether they are on a winning team or not...Last night could have gone either way...just wasn't our night...and Coshocton had a near perfect game...I for one am very proud of the job our kids did this season...sure beat some awful good teams this year...and beyond that...I think they gave coach lutz a reason to keep coaching...their attitudes were great....that is a big part of why they were winners this year...

Did either Logan or Ironton bring home any playoff trophies? No! I came out and supported Ironton at both their playoff games after Logan was eliminated. I'm all for SE Ohio. But this childish stuff get's us nowhere. Good luck to Ironton in the future. Good luck to all SE Ohio teams in the future. We all just fell a little short this year.
Ironton did receive a playoff trophy after the Ironton vs. Coshocton game at Nelsonville and I assume they brought it back to Ironton.

Either way, we'll never know for sure who would have won a battle between Ironton and Amanda, specualation is just that. However, Ironton did finish 2nd in the region, losing only to the first place finisher, in OT, that knocked Amanda off. We'll also never know if Coshocton could have beaten a healthy and whole Amanda CC. If you held a gun to my head and forced it out of me, I'd have to admit that I tend to believe that no one in the region would have but..again, we'll never ever know that for sure, will we?

I would like to say the kids on Ironton’s Team had a very good year and they should be proud of what they accomplished.

The biggest question I would have is Bob coming back next year to Coach? I think it will be important for the team next year especially loosing some many Senior Leaders.

Here's his pre-season interview. Coach Lutz stats plainly that it's his intention to coach a while longer. We're tickled to death to hear that too. You can listen to him yourself at the above URL.

I was glad he put that to rest way in advance of the next few years

Also, when you consider what is returning, as an Ironton fan, you have to be tickled. To start with, they'll have their 6' 3.5", 250 and 260 lb tackles coming back to start building the line around. Not to mention how many 10th graders actually got a lot of playing time last year.

Resorting to PM's...hmmm
The two now have a common opponent and it left Tigers90 minus a leg to stand on.
Obviously it's not in him/her to man up.

Congratulations to Ironton for bringing home a runner-up regional trophy. You guys have done an amazing job this year and I am so proud of you! It has been amazing watching you grow over the years and the way you continued to be a class act on and off the field. It is too bad that people get on here and have to bash each other, for whatever reasons, I don't know. This is an Ironton thread and I for one am proud to be a Tigermom. Good luck to next years team! To the seniors, you guys know I love you, Taylor, Keith, Ethan, Josh, Jonathan, Josh M.,
J.P., Sam, Chris, Zach, Ryan, Jon, Erin (country). If I have left any out, I apologize. Best wishes for a bright future and God bless all of you!

I think so too. Holding is probably the infraction that is gotten away with the most.

A great place to start building from.

What was the JV'S team record last season?
Who did they defeat?
Who did they fall to?
How many of those players have a chjance to see the field next season?

On the Skins first scoring drive there was a clear hold on the reciever by a Tiger dback who was about to get beat to the corner of the endzone. The photo above is clearly a hold.
Point being, both teams no doubt got away with holds. Kids are coached to get away with what they can, if you get busted back off.
If you are about to get beat for a TD a hold is better than giving up the points. It happens in every single game of the season.
It would be interesting to see the yds. each team suffered in penalties.
Doesn't seem as if they were lop-sided. I thought the refs did a good job of letting the kids play...as they should.
