Friend of mine from the dayton area said they are also known as the University of Dayton Kettering campus. For their recruiting skills.

there are trhose who have no idea, against competing with these schools, because they don't get deep enough into the playoffs to face them. we've regularly scheduled teams like this for years.

Ask your friend to identify just one recruit by name. I know he can't name one. I know the coaches and watch the kids come up through the feeder teams. Most of the kids have parents that went to Alter, they have older siblings that went to Alter that didn't even play football. That makes me wonder where you think the recruiting begins (i.e. with the parents and siblings).

I always felt it was being in metro area with lots of kids around good/great coaching and tradtion that makes these teams winners. You have schools like glenvillie that wins year in year out they are not private. If you have a winning program in a given area then kids and parents will want to be there public or private.I'm not saying anything about recuriting that gets very old it is a crutch people that do not like a team use to try run a program down.
